Yeah, it’s a popular trip, too it’s almost a classic these days, that gives you just a taste of the country’s diverse landscapes, it is that what they say. Yogyakarta: Ancient Wonders and Cultural Heart
Our whirlwind began in Yogyakarta, a city so steeped in tradition it’s basically breathing it, so it is. We headed straight for Borobudur Temple, because as everyone suggests, the sunrise tour is absolutely the way to experience this monument, like, as a glowing spectacle over the Javanese landscape, it might be as cool as people say. Mount Ijen became what had to be the most intense thing out of our trip! Beginning before daylight, basically you end up trekking to this point, because it ends up being known for blue flames from burning sulfuric gas, alright it is. Wearing that gas mask is non-negotiable because I can’t imagine the gas is nice. What the heck, get one. The miners carrying tons of sulfur uphill will, you know make you feel so small. So there.

Bali: Island of the Gods (A Glimpse)

In the end our visit made me want a longer stay, and also just a place for recovery after a few busy days.
