Rhodes Evening Boat Cruise: Is that Sunset Worth the Price of those Drinks?

There is something special about watching the sunset dip below the horizon, especially, too it’s almost, when you are out on the water. A Rhodes evening boat cruise offering those sunset views and drinks seems that it has a lot of promise. The question, anyway, seems that it becomes whether that promise gets kept, or are you basically paying just for that view and a mediocre drink? We spent an evening on one of these cruises, and that here is actually our story.

What to Expect From a Rhodes Evening Boat Cruise

Cruises vary, and actually Rhodes seems that it has several options, but most seem they follow a similar kind of formula. You normally, tends to be, boarding in the late afternoon, often from Mandraki Harbor. That boat then makes its way along that coastline, often offering scenic views of famous landmarks. Typically, usually, that highlight tends to be, anyway, a swim stop at a bay before settling that in for that sunset. Arguably, could be, that drinks are included, ranging that, in that way, from local beer and wine to slightly simple cocktails. After that sunset, it is basically a leisurely cruise back that to port.

Booking the Cruise: Points that could be worth noting

Booking that seems really fairly straightforward. A lot of booths around Rhodes Town seems they sell tickets. We went, you know, with a smaller operator that, seemingly, had positive reviews and that a slightly bit different route from the typical tourist path. I mean that price seems they varied too, and honestly you can actually find deals. If that seems quite important to you, anyway, that is worth asking if you go around the booths a little.

Our Evening on the Water: That Experience

We got there, kind of, at Mandraki Harbor that afternoon, finding that boat without much hassle. That staff gave us a greeting that seems rather friendly and we jumped right aboard. We pushed away from there, too it’s almost, immediately being gifted with stunning coastline views. I mean that sea looked really clear. Very shortly after setting sail, too it’s almost, drinks started flowing, yet at least that beer seemed cold, and the wine, in some respects, could be better.

We headed towards Kallithea Springs, passing the beaches. Kallithea Springs looked gorgeous with the dome and seemed so pretty, and honestly seemed to look that way from the water. We pulled in a bit away, or seemingly closer to some nearby caves, which they called it Traganou caves, I mean. You had an option to get right off that boat and also go swimming. We went that right ahead and did, because, you know, that water looked basically too nice to miss. I think the cave, too, looked kind of nice to have a swim to and look inside it, that seems quite good, even for just a quick dip. As a matter of fact that boat also provided everyone with snorkels and stuff, so we did do some snorkelling too.

After getting back on board, actually the boat that continued toward that sunset spot. As I was saying everyone had found their places on that deck to take it all in, while really they poured the drinks. Just as we had been waiting for, at the end of the day the sun went down. I mean the sky burst into loads of color, it is very nice. With those colors on that water it looked super nice, and, really, even those drinks that seemed really mediocre couldn’t spoil it.

I think everyone just really chilled out, actually soaking it all in and stuff, for about 30 minutes or so. With the light mostly fading, I mean that boat turned around and went toward that harbor. By that time it had turned pitch black. A fair amount of people got talking at this time too, so it felt quite social actually. The arrival seemed smooth and the experience came basically to an end.

Pros and Cons: Is it Really Worth Your time on vacation?

Pros:

• The sunset, as a matter of fact, seems really genuinely stunning.
• That coastline views are actually nice.
• It looks, at the end of the day, quite relaxing, getting out on that water.

Cons:

• That drinks are, seemingly, really average. Don’t look like it’s going to be gourmet cocktails or stuff.
• Depending that on your boat, actually it is likely that it could be a bit too overcrowded.

Tips for a Wonderful Experience

• Arrive, honestly, quite early to grab a spot on that boat for that views.
• I mean bring a sweater. It might be actually a bit cool on that water after the sunset, maybe, at least that bit cooler.
• Try, actually, to check that route. Kallithea Springs that seemed basically a great plus to see.

Would We Do This Rhodes Cruise Over Again?

We could do this boat cruise over again! Rhodes that provides, anyway, a bunch of sightseeing. Doing that boat cruise at least, too it’s almost, got you on that water, anyway, to enjoy stuff like Kallithea Springs, too. Actually that sunset seemed basically something special. Even while very arguably could be, that drinks are that bit average, the sunset almost helps kind of distract you away from that fact. For something easy and fairly stress-free, as I was saying this seems alright a super relaxing option.
