Branson, Missouri, is quite the spot for entertainment, that’s for sure. With lots of shows vying for attention, finding a genuinely awesome experience can feel a little overwhelming, that it can. I had the chance to check out the Dean Martin Tribute Show, and I’m sharing my thoughts, the honest kind, to give you an idea if it’s right for you. It is quite a lot like stepping back in time, very, very fun.

First Impressions: Stepping Back in Time, More or Less

Walking into the theater, I felt something close to anticipation, that’s what I felt. The stage setup, very, very classic, it almost felt like stepping into a Vegas lounge from the 60s. The performer, well, he had the look down; hair slicked back and holding that charming grin very similar to Dean. Now, I didn’t know what to expect, I’ll admit, is that a bit worrisome? Each of the jokes, they really did land pretty well, anyway.

Looking around the theater, so there were a few families there, I will say. It appears that most of the audience looked like they were of an older generation, people who’d grown up listening to Dean Martin, like your grandparents, for instance. Now and then, you saw someone very young tapping their foot to the beat, enjoying the vintage vibe. I would really say, if you enjoy classic Vegas acts, or if you’re simply looking for light-hearted entertainment, anyway, so it might be a fantastic pick for you, maybe. Just be prepared for a show that caters very much to an audience with that love for nostalgia.

What Could Be Better: A Few Little Things, Seemingly

The show could just use a few improvements, seemingly. As a matter of fact, I thought the jokes, just so-so, tended to be very dated. So, while they did generate laughter, updating them to fit current tastes could increase their appeal for new people. Also, that stage set, it’s quite alright, still a touch more detail to replicate the ambiance of a real Vegas lounge would really improve the atmosphere. In the same way, just something very small like having a backdrop screen showing classic Dean Martin clips could add something too it’s almost special, certainly.

Final Verdict: Worth Seeing, Probably, In A Way

The Dean Martin Tribute Show in Branson is mostly a pleasant and engaging experience. Anyway, if you’re a Dino fan or just like traditional Vegas-style entertainment, by the way, you will really like it. So, while a few areas might be tweaked for modernity, the show brings an enjoyable trip down memory lane, after all. It could be, that it’s good fun. So, make it a point to see the Dean Martin Tribute, it’s probably worthwhile.
