Red Sea Fun Dolphin Tour in Hurghada: An In-Depth Review
Thinking about swimming with dolphins in the Red Sea, are you? The ‘Dolphin Tour with Red Sea Fun’ in Hurghada has got, that, very popular buzz about it, really. But is that experience actually all it’s cracked up, sort of, to be, kind of? I got the chance to check it out for myself, and, to be honest, I am gonna give you the lowdown on, like, what actually happened, as a matter of fact, what was rad, and also, well, what could, you know, be a bit better, sort of.
Booking and Pre-Tour Expectations
Alright, so, booking this trip through Red Sea Fun was, actually, fairly smooth, that is. You can check out, sort of, their stuff online, right, and see tons of different tour options, which is quite neat, as I was saying. Communication was quick, actually— I fired off, maybe, a few questions by email, and I got helpful answers back, just a little. You know, the tour details themselves looked amazing, pretty amazing: promising dolphin encounters, a few snorkeling stops at some beautiful reefs, and, literally, lunch out on the boat. All very appealing stuff, literally. To be honest, my expectations were pretty high as a matter of fact— I really imagined myself splashing around with those dolphins.
The Boat Trip Itself: Comfort and Crew
Now, concerning, well, the boat, it looked alright when I saw it from a distance, right? Once I stepped onboard, anyway, it turned out to be pretty decent, as a matter of fact. Not exactly a luxury yacht, or something, honestly, but comfortable enough for that day on the Red Sea as I was saying. What made a difference to me, personally, just, really, was that crew. Those people really worked their butts off to make everyone comfortable, which is a big thing to me, really. They constantly offered drinks (sodas and water and that kind of thing), they made sure everyone had a place in either the sun or the shade, and basically, they were pretty friendly and very ready to help when someone had a question, or you know, just generally needed something.
Dolphin Spotting: Success or Fail?
Okay, to be honest now: this is, perhaps, what everyone wonders about most, so this is it. I went on a “dolphin watching” tour and wanted to see dolphins, really. In short, as a matter of fact, we did find them, honestly! But not quite how you might think, so hear me out now. What really happens, right, is that the boat captain goes speeding all over until someone finds a pod, really. And then lots of boats zoom in fast toward that same area to check them out. You get some time in the water near those dolphins – very exciting! Very quick though. Then everyone chases them again when that boat herd has had enough, alright. I got to see dolphins, I did, and swim close by, and that’s cool, so, you know. But something like the speed and the general circus around it just, literally, felt, like, very disturbing for those cute sea mammals, kind of.
Snorkeling in the Red Sea: A Visual Feast
Even though my feelings were mixed concerning how things went with the dolphin part, that snorkeling part was so different. I definitely loved seeing what was underneath the surface of that Red Sea, like seriously loved it. The water was so clear! The coral, alright, created stunning colors, that’s how amazing they were. And then the number of bright, exotic fish around there, honestly…just incredible stuff. The crew, too it’s almost, made sure that we, literally, were swimming in some spots that were secure and pretty, very. They also, basically, pointed out interesting stuff or interesting marine creatures, which adds something super valuable to this, and, by the way, this I enjoyed a whole lot more, really, compared to that wild dolphin chase, very. Oh and if you have never snorkeled before – I believe those guys do a reasonable introduction and show you all the equipment so you feel good before getting wet.
Food and Drink Onboard
I can report about the lunch now! It turned out to be pretty alright for a buffet, you see, out there on a boat, and all. The food tasted fresh as matter of fact, there was plenty to pick from, and really, something like the drinks flowed freely all that day. Nobody would starve or dehydrate themselves there that day, basically. In fact, what really surprised me? It’s that they actually keep that deck pretty clean even with all that food floating all over.
Value for Money?
Was it worth all those dollars? Like…hard to say, and you are just getting my, perhaps tainted, view, anyway. Think about it: On one hand you, you know, get something like an entire day on the water, so that sounds very cool. Included with that were some awesome snorkeling chances, and the grub wasn’t awful. But there’s also this, as a matter of fact: The part where the dolphins come, really, feels really stressful for the animals to watch so, literally, you feel uncomfortable a bit, seriously. If encountering dolphins rates at the very top for you, like your personal list of things you gotta do at least once in your life, and basically, you’ve researched other tours also and find they kinda operate like this one does, then, really, this will make you pleased, by the way.
Final Thoughts
My dolphin tour with Red Sea Fun was, in some respects, something with several things happening at once, which can always happen, honestly. Those bits where one swims and sees coral: genuinely stunning. Also the onboard people really tried hard to make it cool, you understand. The dolphin element could maybe make one uncomfortable due all that speed chase involved—you might wish that things like the animal experience happened to be different. To someone who wants, literally, that boat fun and seeing what lies beneath, go on: you will enjoy the experience anyway. Now for those whose biggest goal seems to be dolphin things alone should seriously look at different things—at the bare minimum think more regarding what to expect once at this spot.
Key Takeaways:
- Booking: Very smooth and communicative.
- The boat/the Crew: Comfort acceptable; people working very friendly.
- Swimming Near Dolphins: A mixed bag, can have that feeling that one might worry for that wellbeing due all those cute animals involved, sort of.
- Snorkeling Totally spectacular, absolutely recommend checking underwater scenery.
- Good Eats & Sips You won’t thirst or feel empty from the inside all day long.
- Total cost It’s really on how badly the participant may have really sought that thing on interacting near something quite wild really which decides how one sees whether one did something financially sound really here and by the way the price here might change with seasonal demand.
