Okay, so a trip to the Columbia River Gorge is what I would call pretty much a no-brainer. Really, the Gorge is known for its amazing views and lots of waterfalls – including the very famous Multnomah Falls. Now, as I understand it, the drive itself along the Historic Columbia River Highway is quite pretty, that’s if you appreciate scenery like I do. That is to say, you get stunning views of the river and cliffs that just give you that “Wow” feeling. What I’m saying is: remember to take photos!
Anyway, Multnomah Falls really must be your first stop. Actually, it is one of the tallest waterfalls in the USA and that’s pretty amazing. You can stroll up to the Benson Bridge for a fantastic close-up look. It really is the perfect place for lunch, and the views from the waterfront restaurants are just gorgeous!
