Tokyo Uncovered: A Review of a Luxury Day Mixing Tradition and Tech
Thinking about taking a trip that will, very literally, knock your socks off? Have you been thinking that perhaps a little bit of poshness would spice things up? Well, get this: there’s a way to explore the bright lights and really old customs of Tokyo, and you could do the whole thing in style! What I’m saying, is that I’m here to give you the lowdown on a full day of, potentially pricey, experiencing the past mixing with, very exciting, today’s technology.
First Stop: A Traditional Tea Ceremony with a Twist
You know, a standard fancy Tokyo trip could begin with the tea. I’m talking a beautiful, proper, sit-down deal. Now, just a typical setting might seem lovely, a calm spot, somewhere old maybe. This day is somewhat different though. Imagine, potentially, you could walk into a setting where the, very old, traditions meet current art stuff. The place you find yourself might have art on the walls which moves, perhaps a robot might even serve your tea! What I’m saying is, expect something unexpected, that will turn the ritual on its head a little bit, yet, also keep its core stuff, that important calm.
Is that the way that you’d maybe describe the whole feeling? A bit, or rather a whole lot, strange and exciting mixed together. The whole tea bit may feel cool to you in your soul, because it has that quietness from ancient times combined with today’s, somewhat mad, inventions. It feels special because it shows so well how, almost every area of, Tokyo likes to look to its past as it leaps forward.
Step into the Future at the Miraikan Museum
After you’ve drunk the tea, your head could start going down a route. And that way involves exploring what tomorrow could actually hold for real. Think, for example, of the Miraikan or The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation. So, maybe you are not too madly into technology, just strolling around this place seems so impressive! The building is filled with really clever displays about space, robotics, and, somewhat amazing, all the future technology.
Think that this can just be a load of old boring school stuff, perhaps? Wrong! The Miraikan turns a corner, by using a bunch of very touchy and feely bits. See a robot which chats or control some, kind of mind blowing, stuff, like real machines that actually help people. The exhibitions are made for you to join in, make some thoughts, and just question pretty much everything! A big plus point, is that the descriptions can also be in your language. You may go around there and actually get stuff more. It might make you excited for everything to come and how everything might be awesome.
A High-End Lunch with a View of the City
It might be time now to grab something decent, maybe something better than decent, some amazing munch to recharge those batteries. With this sort of premium outing you might look at trying somewhere super great and stylish to get some lunch. Now, as you can find almost anywhere, the views from certain parts, can potentially add, very beautifully, to everything that you may be eating. You may, perhaps, sit up super high and find that it really, truly opens out towards the whole town!
You get to enjoy things that might give a true impression of how things work, like where you get the top sushi or where one will discover something old mixing with some creative new things, that will perhaps go perfectly with some excellent setting around all the tables. What I’m trying to explain to you, is this element can be truly fantastic with delicious meals and you seeing stuff that is really worth seeing. Enjoy what can seem perfect; enjoy where one gets fed properly while everything appears like something fantastic.
Exploring Shibuya Crossing in Style
Think about things that anyone visiting, usually, tends to visit. So, I’d bet that very busy places like Shibuya are right up there! It just has the busiest crossing anywhere it could be. Yet you need not squeeze through the chaos that some experience there! This trip, arguably, has that issue sorted! Find high places surrounding that district’s bits, somewhere amazing, somewhere to peek over all areas from spots known only to very specific folks.
This can very often offer a great way just for chilling, possibly observing things instead, safely out from how insanely bustling those pavements appear. Take this opportunity while watching human nature act wild everywhere underneath, that feeling’s so extremely unreal it must get snapped really fast! It appears somewhere everybody could witness some great rush from somewhere safer rather somewhere directly inside that madness that happens underneath.
Ginza District: Shopping and Tradition Combined
Why don’t we go shopping afterward in an area like Ginza? When looking there are always the biggest brands. But do you know how many are so close? How a spot filled to its rims is bursting even through every historic shop along every main drag nearby! It becomes extremely exciting; the high stuff becomes matched right beside items which represent older crafts or art items.
Wander stores which sell really quality stuff right now or step inside older ones still going since way earlier! See someone making pottery carefully! Observe a painter as things get splashed right on the linen! What is so interesting here gets added, namely, all the stories around how shops began with all their tales still alive deep during such times! This portion will not feel much, just visiting various store, that shows rather those historical elements put there all close in the shopping. This creates extra meaning during someone’s strolling and buys done.
