Ganga Talao Mauritius
Ganga Talao, Mauritius

We started at Ganga Talao, alright often called Grand Bassin by some. Very that’s the island’s most pretty revered Hindu site, by the way. As you wind closer, almost, those colossal statues of deities begin to come into view. Then, actually the still lake reflects, those colorful temples, so. So, there’s this peace there that’s pretty heavy. Pilgrims often come here to offer prayers. It’s very worth watching the rituals or taking that peaceful walk around that lake to just soak it up, right.

We had a guide who very walked with us around this site. It was almost a fountain of stories about Lord Shiva and also the importance of each temple around the lake, more or less, actually. People who are there, they aren’t just landmarks; they’re living, breathing places of that worship. You know this respect is important here. Remember that shoulders and knees are covered. Maybe, take a moment to admire it quietly.

So, this place very has these hiking trails that seem to wiggle through very thick forests, right. Waterfalls tumble down, a bit, and, that panoramic view is quite something, and stuff. Arguably, the park is the island’s green heart.

Very remember to wear your hiking shoes, you know, and pack some water, basically. The Macchabée Trail is a decent one if you fancy that challenge with good sights to see. Seemingly try to look out for cool birds, basically such as the pink pigeon – it’s that endemic species. Maybe it will fly near. Also, seemingly take in those moments, literally when everything’s pretty much still. This is a reminder to breath, in a way. As I was saying, you want to watch some wildlife!

Chamarel Waterfall and Seven Coloured Earths

Alright, so next, like your geology mixed in, like a pretty splash of colours?, literally Then Chamarel is kind of a must-see. Basically, that waterfall? Arguably it plummets down from what looks very like a very great height with that serious force. We got closer, alright to see these seven-colored earths. Very it’s where that soil looks just swirls of color; the reds and browns and purples – like a artist almost put those colored pencils down and was done.

Very what I’ve read. This happens because of this lava that has these different minerals. It’s an easy place to visit, more or less. Seemingly there’s that platform that means the average person gets a good view and all of those photos that you see? Basically, They don’t even begin to do that justice to that scale of that place. So, more or less is it not, right It’s about those green sugarcane fields that almost surround that place. They really do offer a little trip in terms of the rum-making and the history. The best bit about it that those little tasting flights at that end though!

We had somebody with us that gave insight to their method, naturally. As I was saying it involves a great dedication from harvesting the raw materials through to that distilling that’s more or less proper, more or less. You can wander around, just a bit, that stills area and get that inside look from it, kind of. Now, naturally you will not go here if it isn’t for the rums to drink. They got so many to choose from and the one made, by the way, is aged in oak which is arguably something.

You will understand something when, by the way, is about that story to this island if you travel to that part in the south. That dramatic rock that juts, virtually out is seemingly called Le Morne Brabant and so. In those days, you know, it’s that tough time back where the ones who were enslaved sought shelter on it. Basically, now? Like, that represents a little tribute from a country who knew a lot about those losses they went through from it.

If you are actually quite into hiking, just to get to its tip can be pretty tough and will almost be worth those looks that reward you! I could not find my chance, anyway when I actually came due to that humidity, very. I stood seemingly at its bottom at least; it was just quiet and still, for sure, yet you would not ignore that strength for certain when there almost some whispers. It’s obviously almost a way from the land of green and very worth every pause to, also.

Obviously, to do a pretty right cultural visit, by the way, the trip has to have, virtually the most basic thing-that food! When we, as a matter of fact finished a visit to Le Jardin des Saveurs, by the way, in that district we saw the best side to that very cooking, and stuff. Those little market stops? A bit they have a great energy. Fresh stuff and like some local snacks almost burst right at you.

The ones who owned them, and such they would speak a pretty fair amount of their native ways and recipes that are arguably very something, very! Like your street food?, you would actually want to look out to those dhal puri and gâteau piment. My time on the street, virtually. Oh and the creole curries? I would eat loads to be true.
