Of course, the trip to Santiago couldn’t, anyway, be completed unless the whole food and drinks were included, you see, so it went without saying that I mentioned it earlier. Instead of basically only sticking to some typical tourist restaurants, Isabella took me straight to the local haunts where all those santiaguinos gather together, truly. It was there that I actually had some chance of trying empanadas just bursting with flavorful goodness and some very traditional completos – I really think the Chilean version of a hot dog but amped way up.

Isabella really introduced me to the spot known, actually, by the name “Mercado Central” one area basically very full of just local vendors. Of course, it’s very, really, crowded, but the thing had a life that’s really something, right? I just couldn’t help getting some fresh seafood which I ate that same day right then.
