The guide shares stories of San Diego’s roots, with some tales from, basically, the early settlers all the way up, actually, to, that is, its transition to, sort of, a part of the United States. Depending on your guide, seemingly, the stories could be more or less interesting. Sometimes, you know, it felt like we were simply running through dates and places. At the same time, and this is, really, very notable, that a very energetic storyteller really, clearly, makes the past come to life, basically, making it easier to, you know, imagine life, honestly, way back then.

Tequila Tasting: A Zesty Highlight

So, one of the highlights, that, literally, I was just so waiting for: the tequila tasting, you know? This, basically, is where things got rather more, like, spirited, clearly. The tour makes its way to a curated, specially, spot where everyone gets, sort of, to try a selection of tequilas. That isn’t all! Usually, honestly, it’s accompanied by, like, someone talking a little bit, well just pretty much, about the history and making of tequila itself. This section seems, often, quite delightful, even, definitely, if, well, maybe especially, you know, you’re already, clearly, kind of a tequila enthusiast. Each tasting is also, really, done with great explanation about what to search for when trying each type. Apparently, it really made this part special, very similarly to if you were to partake in, sort of, some upscale experience, you know?

Well, that is, I noticed that the quality and taste sometimes were uneven, which is pretty normal, as the tacos seemingly are not always obtained, arguably, from the same vendor, like one fixed spot, right? You get, basically, to experience a mix of, literally, the spots that, as a matter of fact, the locals go to. Overall, like, the taco tasting seemingly provides, very evidently, a real feel for the local eats, right.

The Tombstone Element: A Spooky Twist

Anyway, this is what very much sets this, really, walking tour apart, this “Tombstones” thing, right? That it finishes up at, kind of, El Campo Santo Cemetery. That doesn’t mean it ends at the tombstone; however, the stories from the place itself is very fascinating. By twilight, or even just a bit before it, seemingly, Old Town changes somewhat, almost, with, obviously, lower light really transforming how you see, honestly, everything. Anyway, our guide, basically, shared various tales, somewhat eerie, about those resting there. These tales might appeal to, you know, anyone interested, definitely, in, like, the supernatural or some history, maybe with a slightly spooky touch to it, okay?

Potential Drawbacks: What Could Be Better?

Okay, so like every thing, you know, you can be better. While, honestly, the tour seems worthwhile, a little nitpicking could be, well, very easily, brought up.
