Review: Jodhpur, Mehrangarh & Udaipur 2-Day Tour (Plus Lunch!)

Rajasthan, just that, conjures visions, too it’s almost, of majestic forts, you know, shimmering lakes, plus just truly unforgettable experiences. We, like your, decided, you see, to see, for ourselves, just a bit, you know, of this majestic state with a speedy 2-day tour touching Jodhpur, Mehrangarh, then Udaipur. And so, we wanted to see how it all shook out, you realize, with limited time in hand. Was it worth squeezing, sort of, these spots into just one weekend? Keep on reading, actually, to find out.

Jodhpur: The Blue City Beckons

Our adventure got underway, very much so, in Jodhpur, sometimes referred to, just so, as the Blue City. Flying in, that is, to Jodhpur airport felt, just maybe, almost easy enough, I mean you can hop, literally, in a prepaid taxi for a smooth ride to the city center. Now, our focus, just as an example, was set squarely on Mehrangarh Fort, but naturally the very trip from the airport sort of did a fantastic job introducing us to that blue hue dominating that city. It’s very much something to see, frankly, trust me!

Then, once there at Mehrangarh, I’d say be set to be captivated! Towering above that cityscape, actually it gives some fantastic, literally unforgettable vistas. Tales connected, basically, to Rajput bravery and art just colored every alcove. I would recommend getting a guide so too you don’t feel too lost in that massive, seriously fascinating fort.

We ended, you realize, up trying some of that local mirchi vada, or really chili fritters, just with some refreshing lassi to go with them – absolutely necessary. And so, a word of advice: street food could be tasty, though too it’s really a little safer to stick, at the end of the day, you know, to that more popular or seemingly busier stalls.

Udaipur: Lakeside Romance

That next part just called us to Udaipur, actually something quite contrastingly lovely to that desert landscapes around Jodhpur. And so, to travel there, we hopped on that early train which sort of seemed reasonably, literally affordable plus mostly comfortable too. The views you’re set to see? In reality totally worth grabbing that window seat!

Oh, the City Palace just by Lake Pichola definitely needs to be the initial attraction spot to see, though maybe a touch too rushed. To do it all? Sort of quite complex. Even still, seriously, parts feel truly unforgettable and sort of should be noticed on any schedule of sightseeing, so too maybe just quickly.

Okay, then later, we had that delight too it’s almost of dining next to that lake that glowed in that setting sunlight; totally breathtaking. Loads of dining spots just along Lake Pichola are good picks; as well, we ate in Ambrai, and honestly it offered some beautiful, very magical scenes matched together with great servings, really so making our visit so remarkable. It seemed more costly as against what food often goes for throughout our journey, as a matter of fact. Definitely an amazing location though, like I said!

Then next came the boat trip too it’s almost over Lake Pichola towards Jag Mandir that made those views sort of appear as something straight from films; fully breathtaking stuff you guys. When night fell, as a matter of fact, the whole place gained extra magic, mostly making our early start sort of fade completely after feeling very worth any missed, as I was saying, sleep.
