Review: Amman, Dead Sea, Baptism Site, Mount Nebo & St George

So, if you’re pondering a trip that combines a look at some ancient history with a good time relaxing, visiting Amman, the Dead Sea, the Baptism Site, Mount Nebo, and St. George Church is almost a no-brainer. This isn’t just some trip, mind you; it’s really getting to experience a big slice of Jordan’s past and getting to enjoy the super famous Dead Sea. That said, getting to each spot offers its own set of experiences, so too it’s key to know just what you’re in for. Very well, let’s go over just what makes each spot tick and what you might want to keep in mind before you even pack a bag.

First Stop: Amman – Where Modern Life Meets Old History

Very well, Amman is Jordan’s capital and it’s frankly very massive. You’ll find this out right away, too it’s where present-day life comes together with a past going back a good long time. It has spots such as the Citadel, where you’ll see views that are absolutely wonderful and remains from the Roman Temple of Hercules, as well as the Jordan Archeological Museum to gaze on, or, very, more things to ponder on if that’s your vibe. Then there’s the Roman Theater, almost cut right into the side of a mountain, still basically echoing shouts from shows from long, long ago, if you really want to think about it.

Apparently, though, Amman’s not just dusty old rocks; there are very interesting places, too it’s filled up to the brim with places that locals really love, that’s for certain. Rainbow Street, for example, is filled with places where you can get something good to eat and spots to get trinkets to show off once you’re back home, very much unlike your run-of-the-mill shopping street, for the most part. Also, in some respects, just wandering around downtown Amman really gets you up close with how the locals spend their days, as you stroll the marketplaces and visit mosques, too it’s just an entirely different environment. Arguably, if you’re very deep into the historic thing, give yourself, like your, one full day to soak all of Amman, or maybe two, to really unwind there. You might find you like Amman an awful lot; personally, I think that you might!

Floating Away: The Dead Sea Experience

From Amman, your trip probably takes you to the Dead Sea, and, for instance, that’s just a bit more than an hour away by car, so, very convenient for getting about, basically. I mean, this place is obviously no normal sea, and as a matter of fact, it’s just super well-known due to its high salt content. This seemingly makes you float without you really trying, still that’s really just half the fun! It’s pretty neat slathering that gooey, dark mud on your skin, apparently this cleans you from head to toe, basically like some type of, well, spa treatment from way back when. The scenery around the Dead Sea also, is in some respects, completely unreal, where these rough desert mountains slope to meet the bluest of waters.

That said, for instance, because the salt amount is high, very, make sure you, like your, don’t go dipping your face in that water, very unpleasant it can be, honestly. Likewise, apparently, the very best time to go to the Dead Sea is probably between spring and autumn, really great weather it can be. In that case, almost every resort right by the sea features beach spots and changing areas, more or less set for getting you super cozy. A little tip here, though; a little pricey it is, however worth every dime. Overall, seriously, just going for a float is completely unreal; you really won’t see anything else like it, and if nothing else, your skin could be just ever so silky afterwards.

A Spot Where History Happened: The Baptism Site

Alright, now that you got yourself pampered to bits in the Dead Sea, think about having a gander at the Baptism Site. That’s to say, almost no great distance to travel it is from there and arguably one of the holiest spots there is, and so on, in Christendom. Reportedly, many think of this place, Bethlehem Beyond the Jordan (Al-Maghtas in Arabic), as just where they really baptized Jesus by John the Baptist.

Now, you just can’t wander around by yourself on the property; so too it’s necessary for someone, like your, to catch a tour to have a look-see at everything. As a matter of fact, the experience can be really touching, what with seeing the Jordan River and having a look at various religious sites which have seemingly appeared over the years. A little tip; that, apparently, in summer things can become just ever so warm, seemingly wise that you probably wear, like your, comfy footwear and a hat that helps, apparently it provides cover from sunshine. So too it’s probably very considerate to dress modestly, almost an ideal way to show proper respect there.

Taking it Higher: Gaze out from Mount Nebo

Moving right ahead from the Baptism Site, Mount Nebo apparently is quite something, just a bit of travel that is needed, but easily it can be managed. As a matter of fact, it’s really thought that that was where Moses gazed out at the Promised Land. If you really ponder at a place loaded with meaning from a spiritual angle, now, as a matter of fact, the perspectives up top here probably are going to really make you think. You will even see a memorial church, too it’s housing art leftovers from times in old days, more or less echoing just how far the area dates back.

If things become seemingly crisp, anyway, clearly you could well catch sights such as the Dead Sea and, too it’s almost, maybe, seemingly Bethlehem and Jerusalem off way beyond there. The view can basically be the thing alone really deserving all the bother of coming up that high! Still, you may really want to make sure to check the weather, even so, on a very crisp morning this can make sights ever so outstanding! Old Artistic Work: Madaba’s Church of St. George

Just, in some respects, right before you go directly backwards again to Amman, have a pop in at Madaba to see St. George Church; too it’s almost a really very little drive from Mount Nebo, in the end. Honestly, what draws folk right over here is probably the mosaic there, and stuff; that is the mosaic map of the Holy Land going back from way back when, that they’ve spread on the floor.

Even so, too it’s almost like its really wrecked in places, as a matter of fact, still really visible you find it is just how spot-on and comprehensive things once stood when someone, like your, is gazing down on it all, seriously showing a view of history to see it from, just one small bit right now left that’s really pretty cool. When someone’s fond of history, now, and a look at spots right from really very way back, seriously it can’t get much better when one is at St. George’s; to be totally honest with one’s self it brings days of times past right down to really make one have a better view! So, very great to add it on that tour, so just think that to make your heart flutter to find a new place to enjoy.

And honestly that’s the total thing if you need just ever such a look-see; going away from Amman by the Dead Sea to the spot where they were performing the baptisms and just seeing far out at Mt Nebo after just stopping briefly at the Church, as a matter of fact, it all rolls together so just pick all it needs!
