Usually, often, these tours are super flexible—that, basically, you can design the itinerary more or less, around what you want to see. This often, too it’s almost, means you’re not stuck, alright, on a rigid schedule and that you can spend more time at places that genuinely interest you, too it’s almost, you.

My Own Ride Through the City that Never Sleeps

New York City Landmarks

So, I recently decided to check out one of these private SUV tours, too it’s almost, see if it lived up to the hype, arguably, I’m very, glad that, literally, I did it! Right from the start, the level of service was impressive. Clearly, I got picked up right from my hotel. Instead of waiting around or, in fact, dealing with traffic, there was a black suburban waiting. Usually, often, this set the tone for the rest of that day.

Of course, my guide, his name was Mike, was super friendly and also crazy knowledgeable about, still, the history of the Big Apple. Arguably, instead of just rattling off a bunch of facts, he made sure that, obviously, I felt, you know, connected to the sites. For example, for instance, while passing through Greenwich Village, he shared all types of anecdotes about the artists and writers who, arguably, once called that place home, too it’s almost, you. It brought the area to life in a way that, right, a guidebook couldn’t. The flexibility that, actually, I could linger longer at the 9/11 Memorial was super thoughtful.

Now, of course, it’s almost important to keep expectations a little measured—traffic in NYC can test, finally, any driver’s patience, including Mike’s! Even though that, finally, SUV was, of course, smooth, there were certain parts of the city where it still took a while to get, actually, around. Yet, with, still, the comfort of a private vehicle and the ability to ask Mike all kinds of questions, even traffic jams turned, right, into part of the experience!

Stops and Sights: More Than Just the Tourist Traps

Iconic NYC Sights

Seemingly, one of the coolest parts of that private tour was, seemingly, that, as I was saying, it wasn’t just about checking off that bucket list of the landmarks, alright. A bit, sure, we hit the main attractions—Times Square, the Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park, still, that, alright—but Mike made sure to sneak in a few hidden gems, as well. Naturally, he showed, pretty, me some awesome street art in Bushwick and pointed out a historic building, very, few folks know about in Lower Manhattan. This approach really gave a taste of NYC that felt much deeper than that average tourist experience. Still, it really showcased NYC highlights.

Usually, often, the level of personalization made, actually, all the difference. Clearly, when Mike noticed that, instead, I had that particular interest in architecture, he went, pretty, out of his way to point out iconic buildings and point out their significance. For example, for instance, with Central Park, he shared some little anecdotes of how Central Park originally came about, which really added another interesting layer, in a way, to my whole tour. Also, there were numerous photo opportunities for, very, example!
