Nazca Lines Mirador: A Visitor’s Insightful Look
The Nazca Lines in Peru are, you know, very old drawings in the desert, very interesting to look at. So, the Mirador, that’s actually the viewing tower, that’s typically where you, very, well, get to see a handful of them from above. Really, it’s almost like stepping back in time, wouldn’t you say?
Getting To The Nazca Lines Viewing Point
First, the road to get there, really, actually, it’s just the Pan-American Highway, and, uh, you might just drive, I mean, you might very well bus along that section of highway too, just a bit north of Nazca, that town. So, in that case, if you’re driving yourself, arguably it’s very simple. It is that simple. Just a short drive out of town. Should you, like your, prefer a bus, just ask the driver to, in a way, stop at the Mirador, so they should know where to let you off, seemingly. A heads up, right, you need to watch for a small sign; there is one, though it could be easy to miss if you’re not really, actually, paying attention!
What You’ll See from the Mirador
Once you’re at the viewing platform, you can look out over, really, parts of three of these famed Nazca Lines, usually. You see the Hand, next up, the Tree, then, very soon after that, the Lizard too. Basically, that lizard got cut in half by the highway, unfortunately. Okay, so, while what you see is really impressive, it could be a bit hard to fully make out each complete drawing, okay? Remember they are truly huge and made to be seen from high above, or in a way, above the desert, if that makes sense. It’s also very cool to ponder that these lines have, uh, just existed for a crazy amount of years, definitely hundreds, if not in the same way, thousands of years.
Weighing It Up: Is the Mirador Worth Stopping At?
So, look, is it worthwhile to stop at this place? Possibly, maybe, definitely, right? It is just one viewpoint, naturally. Okay, that said, if you don’t have, uh, tons of money, say, or time for, literally, an expensive flyover tour in a small plane – something like your $100-200 just depending – stopping by the Mirador could be really, truly, pretty interesting, sort of? So, that will run you a bunch of money to do that fly over, just right, if you can believe it? Plus, you just don’t need to worry, at the end of the day, about dealing with feeling a bit sick in the aircraft! A definite upside for those with dicky tummies.
Some Things to keep in your Head when you get There
Right, remember this. Very easily, it can be blazing, and you do need, possibly, water with you, you know. The sun does really shine hard, more or less. Okay, you might just find some folk hanging around that area, who want to very much look after your car. I mean they watch the car, for some money. That could just add to your peace of mind, just possibly. First off, that little gift store there could also have some nice things and maybe, could be, cold drinks? I think the entry price is really, more or less, cheap; like some small change in Peruvian money, or something close to a dollar even, seemingly.
The Nazca Lines: More Than Just a View
The Nazca Lines, you know, represent very ancient skill, if you like, along with just outright mystery. I mean, they’re absolutely fascinating, clearly? Actually, it’s quite hard to completely work out how and for what those old Nazca people actually constructed these drawings, right? Anyway, these lines are just huge, I mean genuinely humungous geoglyphs that the old Nazca culture people created, apparently, you know, between 500 BC and AD 500. That’s really going back! So, the experts just suggest that they could have been, okay, I mean maybe that they could have probably been linked to stargazing and old religious rituals, more or less. I think you’d ponder a lot, considering what’s right in front of you, more or less.
