Nairobi National Park & Kazuri Beads Tour: My Detailed Review
Okay, so you are considering the Nairobi National Park half-day tour with a stop at the Kazuri Beads Factory? That’s fantastic! As someone who went not so long ago, I figured I’d share my whole experience. This combination offers a peek into the untamed right beside a discovery of wonderful local artistry. Very worth doing, too it’s almost like experiencing Kenya’s duality, right in a single day.
Early Morning Safari at Nairobi National Park
Leaving before sunrise, that is the ticket, is that right? Leaving at dawn basically means beating the notorious Nairobi traffic, still allowing for some magical hours in the park. Actually, the fresh air and anticipation, anyway those are amazing before the sun really heats up, sort of a different experience, I’d say. The tour vehicles are usually pretty comfy, I mean equipped for game viewing – very important for spotting things!
Frankly, the landscape inside Nairobi National Park that’s unexpectedly diverse. There are wide-open plains to forested areas, in fact, perfect setups to spot diverse animal species. Apparently, during my tour, there was plenty of everything. We had herds of zebras, towers of giraffes munching on acacia trees, plus a bunch of various antelope. Truly captivating to watch them in the background of the Nairobi city skyline; just very unexpected.
If you are very keen on seeing them, the big cats actually often require a bit more searching. Very rewarding indeed when you get lucky, right? Our guide was really good and, I want to say, so keen on finding us a pride of lions. And wouldn’t you know it, he did! Very sleepy ones mind you but lions none the less! In some respects, he explained about their behaviors, and about some of the conservations happening in the park. Basically, that added depth to seeing just wildlife.
Usually, keep an eye out for rhinos! Now these guys, they are what everyone comes hoping to glimpse. Apparently, conservation efforts have been boosted. You know the park gives them a safer habitat; very worthy stuff in the bigger scheme of things, if I can be honest.
