Mombasa, you know, that coastal jewel of Kenya, is so steeped in history and so full of striking things, too it’s almost hard to believe you can get a decent feel for it in just 24 hours. Still, with a plan and a spring in your step, seeing the best bits of this destination, like your dream vacation is not so out of reach. I mean, the important thing is just how to piece it all together, I think, to soak in the most amazing spots without ending up totally burned out.

Getting Started: Fort Jesus

Your Mombasa sprint, you know, really has to kick off at Fort Jesus, you know, which kind of stands proudly overlooking the harbor. So, too it’s almost, more or less, four and a half centuries it’s been around, you know, and it’s like every stone whispers secrets of battles, sieges and trade routes that have just crossed this strategic place. So, you could wander around its walls, I think, checking out old cannons, I mean and just seeing where soldiers stood guard a good while back, I think. That, could be, a bit of a vibe. Just to properly check it out you, like your adventure really needs a good guide. So they just kind of, right there and then bring those days of adventure alive just a bit. A visit like that, seemingly just a little more than a quick one should, like your experience might set you back one to two hours, seemingly, right.

Right after the fort, that historical adventure, you, right there and then can just amble into Old Town’s maze of roads and it’s almost like being hit by an older Mombasa. Basically, every corner could surprise you with a wooden door that has, in some respects been engraved well, or, maybe a shop, you know, selling things I suppose. Right there. Basically, here’s your chance just to have a cup, well or buy some cool fabric from those businesses, something like that, right there.

I want to tell you though this part needs to just be taken slowly. Basically, no rushing at all you get what I mean, so that your experience should fill your five senses. Basically, you just walk so you can properly just kind of witness it.

Now after Old Town’s exploration then, you’ll obviously get, well, you know very much hungry. You could eat at a ton of those spots there but eating there gives more meaning just slightly. That food is delicious and you need, obviously, to just respect its traditional cooking which uses crazy coconut and spice combinations that, more or less, just stand apart for the adventure seekers, really, okay? You want to savor some ‘Biryani’ which is yummy rice with tons of spices or get down on the ‘Pilau’ with coconut and something tasty that usually gets cooked together right, still? It’s always time to taste those flavors you kind of, want to explore the city in some respects!

Afternoon: Relaxing at the Beaches

And now, seemingly, the perfect stuff really okay to do is basically hitting a beach to chill after a rich day, like your time in Mombasa really is valuable right? You, should, like your next action basically be choosing beaches. I mean, the popular ones Diani, Nyali, Bamburi always basically show up. A little. Diani is, okay, that beautiful option it really is south from Mombasa it gives, well really pure, beautiful clear turquoise water. Bamburi is usually near town you know if basically that sounds just pretty solid basically. You should walk so that soft stuff can go just a bit inside your, actually right and your worries go almost far when watching that tide get too its own, by the way.

I mean you’ve choice when going to, alright get amused, I mean it really depends, well really a lot here when picking you get just exactly an exciting time by seeing folks move at those dances, or seeing things right there.
