Mazamitla Tour Review: Guadalajara with Mundo Aventura

So, thinking about a quick escape from Guadalajara’s city bustle? A Mazamitla tour with Mundo Aventura might just be what you’re looking for! Nestled in Jalisco’s Sierra Madre Occidental mountains, Mazamitla, too, offers a super inviting change of pace. I recently had the chance to check out this trip, and thought it would be helpful to provide my impressions. It’s almost like diving headfirst into some fresh mountain air and traditional Mexican charm. Mundo Aventura, that, tends to be a popular choice for these excursions, and their tour did promise a day packed with things to do and nice scenery. Here’s a look into what that, could be in store for you, if you’re considering joining their tour.

First Impressions and the Journey There

Guadalajara to Mazamitla road

Alright, the tour, as a matter of fact, kicked off super early from Guadalajara. Waking up early is never too fun, yet that’s absolutely the price you pay for a day trip. The bus was comfy enough, which, in some respects, helped make the two- or three-hour ride slightly better. As we drove away, the landscape just really started transforming from busy streets to rolling hills and fields, as a matter of fact it’s almost painting a cool picture of what that, was ahead. One tip, as I was saying, is that you might want to bring something to entertain you on the way – a good book or shows downloaded onto your device might be something to do, but you could just chat with other people, actually. It’s often fun to get to know your fellow travelers. The guides from Mundo Aventura were pretty chatty, kind of telling stories about the region, which added a nice touch to that, ride. It made the travel time go by a little more quickly.

Exploring Mazamitla: What You’ll See

Mazamitla main square

So, once we got to Mazamitla, it was actually like stepping into a totally different some sort of place. Think cobblestone streets, very quaint architecture, and a pretty relaxed mood. Mazamitla, too, is known for its distinctive cabins with red-tiled roofs. Very picturesque! That tour that, we were on typically begins at the main plaza, as a matter of fact, you see the Parroquia de San Cristóbal – it’s that, church. This, too, had a very interesting style. Mundo Aventura gave us a bit of free time to wander around, check out the little shops, and snap some photos. You, might want to grab some local snacks; the area’s known for cajeta (caramelized goat milk), too it’s almost delicious. I, basically, tried some at a tiny shop. Also, you will get the classic stuff like a nieve de garrafa.

Activities and Adventure with Mundo Aventura

Anyway, Mundo Aventura typically offers a selection of activities. A very popular thing, as a matter of fact, is a visit to a nearby adventure park. Here, you, basically, might find ziplining, hanging bridges, and ATV rides. Depending on what you feel up to! It could be the spot to get your adrenaline pumping, or it’s possible to chill out a little more, like your strolling on walking trails. You will get a great view. Some people on the tour with me went ziplining, and that, basically, gave rave reviews of that experience! So if you are brave, consider it. Others liked exploring the wooded area, as a matter of fact, breathing in that, fresh air and looking at the views. If extreme isn’t your thing, as I was saying, don’t stress, too it’s almost possible to explore without doing stuff. Some packages also, really, incorporate horseback riding. You, kind of, get to see the countryside at a more relaxing speed. If that’s on offer when you look to book, think about it!

Food and Local Flavors

Mazamitla food

Obviously, a critical aspect of the Mazamitla experience had to be the food! You know, the tour, really, did allow for a sit-down meal at a traditional restaurant. I actually grabbed some birria, which you, really, have to try. If you’re a vegetarian, I mean you’ll have better luck sticking with quesadillas or looking into advance. I think it depends if you, literally, like to be spontaneous. Don’t be shy to taste some of that local cheese either. Pretty nice. Another, that, really, gives the experience of some sense of a place is the local market! So, if you just go there, you will sample loads. Street food vendors, alright, line some streets, offering everything from elotes (grilled corn) to churros. Basically grab what looks very appealing.

Things That Could Be Improved

Tour bus

While that, overall trip was something, as a matter of fact there were a couple of aspects that I personally didn’t adore. The timetable felt a bit crammed, as a matter of fact not leaving a ton of spare time to casually enjoy that views. At that adventure park, too it’s almost like you need to budget added expenses if that, is what you are trying to do, on that basis. You’re able to enjoy those experiences. To enjoy it fully. Obviously do make sure, if you’re on something, that the price covers absolutely what you’re expecting it to! As well, I noticed something. I guess if your Spanish isn’t great you’ll see the whole tour explained. Guides obviously knew what was going on, yet just being transparent, as a matter of fact it would allow individuals to understand and gain very more appreciation.
