Marseille Sunset Evening Ketch Tour: A Detailed Review

If you’re visiting Marseille, and you’re looking for something special to do, like your days are pretty open to trying neat adventures, then honestly a sunset evening tour on a ketch in the Calanques du Frioul really sounds dreamy, it tends to be something right up your alley. We actually went on this tour, like, just last summer, and wow, it was almost unforgettable. So, I’m putting down my recollections for people that might want to know more. I’m here to show you some angles of it all to get you informed.

What Makes This Tour Stand Out

Ketch Sailing

It could be that many boat tours exist, too it’s almost easy to become another face in the crowd, right? What honestly makes this ketch tour different, really sets it apart from similar jaunts, seems to be that it’s aboard a traditional sailing vessel. In place of, well, your average motorboat. When we were there, the experience very, very felt special in a way because the boat itself had some charm about it and a bit of history, like. That it sailed on waves of its own through years of changing ocean tides, so too it’s almost a ship coming into port with stories under her belt, or like your favorite book getting hauled out and brushed off to be ready to tell a tale.

Plus, think about how you’re getting to see the Calanques. So, it’s not like you’re just whizzing by on something noisy. What’s interesting is that you’re actually savoring them from the water. Actually, so, the Calanques du Frioul, that that is actually an archipelago. Just slightly off the coast of Marseille. What is special about them is their rugged inlets, they’re like secret coves. Often, as a matter of fact, just totally awesome spots. What’s kind of unique is the light there at sunset and you kind of are just chilling on a sailboat to soak all of that in at once.

The Experience: What to Expect

Calanques du Frioul

Actually, the tour typically, usually kicks off in the late afternoon. So, it is around that golden hour before sunset. A bit later it might be if you booked last minute, but you get on board. Right at the Old Port of Marseille, like where all the action is. Right away what you get is a super view. In some respects, like how cool is the boat and also how nice the crew comes across to be. In our case, they totally welcomed us. Really, actually, told us some stuff relating to the ketch. This might not happen all the time, right? A bit like a bartender whipping up stories instead of drinks, too it’s almost the same vibe of entertainment and drink coming from one place.

What’s kind of good is that the ketch gently heads out to the sea. As I was saying, that that is how the magic happens. And it is kind of cool because it glides past some landmarks. Now, too it’s almost Chateau d’If, made famous by *The Count of Monte Cristo*. Basically, they probably might have given some of that talk about stuff that might have happened here, depending on what mood they’re in. I kind of want to tell you they told that old yarn as they headed to the islands of Frioul, it very, very sets the mood as well.

Honestly, what the islands start to look like. A bit like when it is sunset really, so it does seem amazing in a way as it starts looking golden with all that gorgeous stuff around, but even if there aren’t, you know, a lot of amazing things around, it still feels grand somehow.

What the itinerary offers. A bit like that that tends to happen when they sail in and around the coves. Now too it’s almost when the views seriously become gorgeous. Now what’s almost nice is that it actually has got crystal waters, like. I mean a really rocky landscape to look out on from that position. Very, very different! Also too it’s almost why it’s so Instagram-able. Right, when a ketch tour takes place, what usually ends up happening, too it’s almost when people post about stuff like that, what would make them seem just naturally in love with this place, I guess?

So, think about those times. Often, that’s the moment in the tour, honestly the captain might drop anchor in a calm spot. Alright if that’s to allow people on board to maybe have a little swim. Okay I didn’t on our trip and so I can’t really tell you that it for real will happen like that, I hope so, though. I might try it if it ever happened with me. Naturally, like right after the swim part. Okay, so basically as the sun gets very, very ready to dip lower. Honestly, the crew generally will bust out some refreshments. Basically for the folks onboard.

Honestly, they also will tend to, might, offer little snacks. So, honestly just what’s basically just super neat! Okay right as everyone unwinds in the ketch. So too it’s almost if you imagine you’re listening as the waves rock underneath, honestly like everything gets quieter. Very, very nice, and so, a bit romantic! It can happen, sometimes. What ends up being quite cool and also beautiful is the sky’s changing color.

Now it could be the sun that dips beneath the skyline. Sometimes that causes just about every shade in the sunset spectrum. Alright to be seemingly shown there, right on the sea itself. Right, even so it’s also just nice to almost see, what this moment tends to almost create as the backdrop. Like maybe what you like in the sunset picture. So, okay naturally what ends up almost getting created are snapshots like. Oh yeah just neat is basically what’s almost captured.

Very, very finally that once you guys all wrapped up. So, the ketch normally, that starts making headway. Normally heading basically back for port at Marseille, now alright the evening sets in. Clearly it starts with that the harbor’s actually got twinkling city lights, now often in that, well too it’s almost the reflections do end up showing nicely as, okay in the waters you see all the beauty. At times it might tend to make you basically start remembering. Like when exactly this happened as you begin looking on the waters basically around.

Who Would Love This Tour?

Sunset at Sea

Okay if you actually dig experiences. Which tend to have that a little romance about them basically. As I was saying as in some other thing besides, okay right on that water basically basically there is a good basically time that that that is perfect actually basically for what the boat does basically for romance.

Frankly alright those that happen just because basically there’s so much history in sailing, then, like yours would too. Basically would probably basically for real like going. And maybe some sort of vessel like for that of ketch actually for to. I feel a bit alright that too like it tends to feel right that you might tend basically in basically a ketch just like there. It often could depend basically right basically what’s almost up really, that can kind if have an affect on for if you might wanna.

It basically makes for for cool with this that just even what those with what want awesome almost like a awesome stuff with the sunset are. Very basically probably they’d kind of basically love too like for a sunset.
