Mandurah Big Toot City Tour: Is 30 Minutes Enough? [Review]
So, you know, Mandurah’s Big Toot—it’s almost like a local legend, right? Very many folks that visit this place often wonder if that brief, super quick 30-minute tour really does show you what the city is all about. The truth is, that there is a bit packed into those thirty minutes! As a matter of fact, many tourists who are traveling throughout Western Australia see this particular little trip to be almost a “sampler platter” kind of deal, of all of the different views and vibes Mandurah has to offer. We had to go and try it, you see, and actually tell you all of what we think.
First Impressions and Setting Sail
Well, right from the start, there is a little bit of anticipation, right? The Big Toot is this kind of boat, you know, very brightly colored, almost cartoonish looking vessel – it’s pretty hard to not notice it hanging around the water. The staff were friendly, very welcoming; that they actually made the entire process a piece of cake. Once onboard, very much you grab a seat, there’s a bit of a buzz, that anticipation you know, is pretty evident with like your other passengers. We set off, very nearly right on time, gliding onto those canals straight from Mandjar Bay.
The Sights: What You See, What You Get
Very quickly, the tour gets going showing off those waterside views of the houses that look really amazing, and just really quite unique, lining up that canal. It is not like, a history tour in the slightest; it’s very much about chilling out and simply taking in those gorgeous sights. We glided past luxurious homes, apparently each one has a unique little story – you see all that and it definitely adds something rather special. You see the local wildlife actually too, so you might actually catch a glimpse of like your dolphins; that’s almost like a cool little bonus!
The Commentary: Informative or Just Background Noise?
The commentary is quite chill. It’s not too full on you see. In fact, those tour guides have a slightly smooth approach which is basically great for your really quick tours. They drop some nice knowledge on ya’ such as points of interest, that also gives a really unique vibe, without drowning out a bit of that chilled, calm feeling on the water. So too it is rather interesting yet you are able to actually relax.
The Value Proposition: Is It Worth It?
You’re gonna think; that is thirty minutes on the water going to feel a bit rushed? As a matter of fact, the Big Toot honestly makes good of the time. Apparently for visitors who are just passing through, and really also that families that have like your young kiddos, it offers like a pretty quick, simple peek at the lovely parts to Mandurah. Although, alright if you are kind of keen on getting deeper into those local histories then possibly that extended tour is a lot more ideal.
