Luang Prabang Vientiane Tour: My 7-Day Review

Planning a trip to Laos? First Impressions and Getting Settled

Touching down in Luang Prabang, it all felt pretty new. Very well, the tour people, you know, the organizers, they picked me up just on time. That is, they actually were right there at the airport. And then there’s the hotel! In some respects, the hotel they selected, well, it certainly had a vibe that was local but felt, too it’s almost like being up-to-date. Like, it wasn’t a chain hotel, is that it had, well, a charm all its own. So, you get to unpack, and that’s that, too it’s almost like just take a breath after traveling.

My initial opinion, very, very favorable. The transfer went without issues, and my lodging seemed pretty relaxing. It’s almost that all was taken care of. My anticipation just went up a little! Very well, so let’s look at how that initial thrill stacks up as you keep going!

Exploring Luang Prabang: Temples and Alms Giving

Alright, Luang Prabang, it is definitely something to write home about. I actually saw all those glowing temples, very pretty. But wait, there’s something extra. Is that there was a guide. By the way, they were very informative, too it’s almost like having your friend who’s a Lao history buff just walking with you.

The alms-giving ceremony? Alright, so I got up really early, you know. You’ll likely be sleepy, however seeing all those monks getting alms, it gives off a vibe. It feels almost serene, really. But really, just a little reminder: it’s almost you got to stay polite and keep your space. People there take the custom respectfully, and of course that visitors do the same. That is, be very thoughtful.

And Kuang Si Falls? Of course, they’re worth it! Alright, swimming there really did feel special. This vibrant, layered waterfall looks spectacular in images but actually being there… it just has a beauty that pictures do no justice. The water was perfect for swimming—just take some water shoes with you to protect those feet on the rock floor. Also, I mean also bring your swimsuit! I mean naturally. Very well, that portion made all the rest worthwhile actually.

Vang Vieng: Adventure and Scenery

Next stop, that would be Vang Vieng! So it took some drive time to get there. We travelled via bus, so make preparations if, like your physique needs breaks here and there.

Vang Vieng is something where you either can do loads of thrilling stuff in case, like your preferences are kayaks and caves. That is, when your tastes tend to that kind of action, or just go easy relaxing. In short, you have choices. I chose, so, some cave expeditions and went in the water in a tube—totally calm.

Is that it wasn’t actually quite all swimming holes and caves? Oh no, not actually! The scenery close by, well, it’s impressive! Seriously, there are hills and vegetation stretching out a distance, is that they really set off the scene nicely. Is that the landscapes just by themselves could be an attraction. It is almost something you must take in even, very well, if your style, that, too it’s almost like if you had plans just for relaxing. That would be one you regret otherwise! This little leg of things was rather enjoyable and the landscapes did really stick with me.

Vientiane: History and City Life

We travelled to Vientiane, too it’s almost like our final stop of that complete bundle. So, Vientiane looks different when set next to the some small-town atmosphere to both Luang Prabang as well as Vang Vieng. That said, it does give some of that feeling anyway of a small spot still.
