So, Carcavelos is really perfect when starting out because the waves aren’t too aggressive.

But Costa da Caparica, though, has a longer coastline, with a bit of spots to pick from, depending on the day. They do a good job of choosing, you know, where to go. Making sure you feel, basically safe, whilst still trying to get better. Plus, the added advantage is that it’s super convenient getting there from Lisbon too.

The equipment they have is, honestly, quite in good condition. Arguably, the boards were really well-maintained and a range of sizes available, right, so that it’s quite easy to find what you needed. So, wetsuits were in good nick, and you could find one that fit you properly without any trouble. Anyway, regarding safety, I think they take that quite seriously.

The instructors gave clear and obvious safety briefings, they did it very well, which is quite reassuring, particularly if you’re fairly new to surfing. They do keep an eye on the current situations too, basically knowing the risks, and are good at telling you all you need to know. In a way, that’s reassuring to make sure, you know, that your being safe while still enjoying the lesson. This will, therefore, put a clients mind at ease.

The Overall Vibe and Atmosphere

Basically, the whole experience has good energy surrounding it, I can’t put it any other way. Anyway, these instructors are enthusiastic, the groups aren’t super massive, too, that, also, helps to creates, I think, like, this personalized touch. Everybody seem to be cheering each other on. So, in a way that kind of support really enhances the experience.

And the atmosphere is also inviting. Right, its super cool and great if your traveling, arguably, by yourself because they will make you feel welcome. To be honest, I made some friends, okay, just because of the good, fun vibes of that location. All in all, arguably, I believe the Lisbon Surf Experience is more than just being on a surf board; It’s more so making memories.
