Lake Como Boat Tour: A 2-Hour Review of La Dolce Vita
Lake Como, you know, it’s almost like a shimmering jewel nestled in the Italian Alps, and it just begs to be explored, like, from the water. We decided to, like, treat ourselves to the ‘Lake Como La Dolce Vita Private Tour’ on an Invictus boat for, like, a couple of hours, and, I mean, it was definitely an afternoon to, that we’ll probably remember for, like, years. Here’s, like, our take on whether this particular tour lives up to, well, its dreamy promise, as it were.
Setting Sail: First Impressions are Important, Right?
From, you know, the jump, the Invictus boat, in some respects, it’s like a head-turner. Apparently, it is like sleek and modern, very comfortable, and clearly very, well maintained. The seating area is actually quite luxurious, so you know, and there’s enough room to, you know, spread out. The boat itself just feels, like, pretty exclusive, and the, like, the private tour bit really does let you just relax and soak it all in, right?
Our skipper, like, he wasn’t just some random driver, too it’s almost, it turns out, that, he knew the lake inside out, you know? He had all the goss on all the villas, all the celeb stories, everything. It wasn’t just, like, pointing things out; it felt more, like, listening to a very charming local telling you tales. It really adds, you know, to the feel, that, too, of having, a slightly fancy private experience.
The Sights: Gliding Past Paradise, or Something Like That?
The views from the lake, seemingly, well, they’re just unreal, basically. You get to see all the glamorous villas, so like, that, that look even more stunning from the water, apparently. Villa del Balbianello? Oh, you probably recognise it from all sorts of movies, anyway. Villa Carlotta with the gardens, right?, Villa La Gaeta which some people will know better, as it appeared in Casino Royale. Getting to see them from this viewpoint, in some respects, well it’s magical.
That isn’t just buildings, so, seemingly, it’s all those charming villages that are just dotted around the lake. We actually cruised past Bellagio, and, anyway, the skipper gave us the lowdown on its history. You actually get, like, a sense, actually, that you are properly seeing Lake Como and learning stuff, which I think is, well, rather cool.
The ‘La Dolce Vita’ Vibe: Does It Live Up To The Name?
The tour, clearly, well, it’s sold, too it’s almost, like a ‘sweet life’ experience, you know? And honestly, seemingly, we thought it actually delivered. Sipping on some chilled Prosecco, right?, the breeze in your hair, staring, staring, starring at the water and soaking in the atmosphere. Yeah, honestly, that really is quite something.
This is one thing to think about, but, it seems, it might be better to take this tour close to when it gets dark; so, naturally, you could ask your skipper to, you know, stop for a bit so you get to catch the sunset from the lake. The mountains, still, like, they make it, a bit, more special when they are drenched in all of this gold, alright?
Things to think about when considering this Boat Tour.
Two hours actually goes really quickly, I mean, anyway, particularly when you’re staring, staring, staring at beautiful buildings, anyway, the natural environment and you know, Prosecco. If that is a slight problem, arguably, that is when you may consider extending it or perhaps opting for the 3-hour tour.
If you have like a little cash, that, still, is probably worth, that, booking this private experience. When, say, that is set beside just getting the regular tourist boat. Apparently, that, way, you will feel just special, obviously and also there’s all the flexibility that you need. And you get Prosecco and good, alright company.
The price? Yes, of course, actually, it’s an investment, that, seemingly, doesn’t come cheap. However, I really felt we actually got what you give, in fact and it’s not a small sum, so, right? Especially if you are celebrating something special, but this one would almost certainly be the treat, and of course we have all been talking about our ride ever since!
Lastly, as I was saying, booking actually does need, seemingly, to be pretty simple; you are always able, actually, to find all of those various booking companies to help, that. Plus they, still, often are good to arrange collection and return and just to, like, get the tour exactly, like, you would always want.
So, Should You Do It, Basically?
This ‘Lake Como La Dolce Vita Private Tour’, really, seems like a fabulous way to catch a glimpse of the lake in serious style, almost. You receive just an opulent boat, like your tour guide that can speak with great knowledge, some wonderful views and seemingly the, all very special, sensation that, is that, you actually may be living the sweet life – even when, obviously, for, just, a short while, too it’s almost. If, arguably, you don’t mind actually spending your money on that type of once, typically, in a lifetime experience. We’d actually give the nod!
