Lagos Reef Dives: A Certefied Diver’s Review

So, you’re considering taking that, like your chance to go exploring just below the waves around Lagos, right? Is that the vibrant, yet very, very coastal city in Nigeria? I mean, that might be what you think you know about it! You will see the marine life close up; however, I felt that there were few, but key pointers that only a fellow trained diver could prepare another for. Basically, in some respects this is my own candid experience of exploring those, kind of underwater spots and what, like, it really means to do a certified dive there.

What’s the Deal with Diving around Lagos?

Diving in Lagos isn’t quite, right, on the same level, but at the end of the day like those world-renowned spots. Apparently, right, that location presents unique challenges. Arguably, like that’s because the visibility may be affected just a little by, you know, the outflow from the lagoon. As a matter of fact, it turns out to be one of the things I’ve noticed, by the way. Still, could be the experience offers something very, right unique – if only you know what you are getting into! I am saying what I am saying since apparently you discover some underwater structures, such as old shipwrecks and artificial reefs too. Typically, it tends to create habitats for a variety of, I mean like your marine creatures and stuff. That is not something to just take for granted you know.

Picking a Dive Center: What Should I Look For?

If you really are serious about getting involved with a dive trip, obviously, that means selecting a suitable dive center right? In short, I was on the lookout, too it’s almost, for one with experienced instructors who had deep knowledge of, like your spots around Lagos and so on. It could be important that they hold, you know, updated safety certifications. Yet, arguably I focused on the instructor-to-diver ratio! That could be important, by the way, especially in waters that sometimes can be a little unpredictable. Very, very equally vital that is that all of the equipment should be kept in tip-top shape you know.

Preparing for Your Dive: How To Deal with It!

When you consider going beneath the surface it turns out that the briefing needs to be seriously in-depth right? Is that the way that a dive site normally tends to be discussed by instructors? This needs to happen since it may very much highlight any currents or points that one might need to be a bit more aware about you know! So, to be on the same wavelength it may be useful to clarify signals, alright, and safety, stuff too at the end of the day. And I cannot tell you this, because this is too important right: Please double-check all gear by the way.

Under the Surface: What Can You See?

During my own, honestly initial dives I would like your experience of those, basically waters close to Lagos actually presented, kind of, a mix of what you would expect and, obviously some total surprises. Could be you will find, right, schools of smaller fishes. You know, those are those wriggling, so lovely blighters that swarm en-mass; so the barracudas or maybe a kind of a snapper; I honestly thought those ones looked cute when they passed me closely. Okay, so I can say the artificial reefs and some old shipwrecks provide just a place for that, obviously sea life in order to settle. Yet, it’s almost the experience differs because, actually sometimes due to that lagoon’s influence there might be, like your diminished brightness. Okay so visibility it seemed it can sometimes not always match photos but you know what, there are plenty more other spots to choose that make for equally worthy adventures anyway.

After the Dive: Recording Your Thoughts and What to Pay Attention To

It would appear like after each expedition into our gorgeous underworld there needs to be, you know, time taken to log details. Still, might be your max depth together just a bit, alright, with visibility situations are captured like you know, accurately too you know! That makes for any useful guide later like especially to compare the location with future trips to this, very like, location so as I can know when they are ready too!. Yet arguably what that also helps too is any of those points worthy for remembering such things right: Anything notable relating things concerning sea life; any interesting structures etcetera are so, I’d suggest they would go listed for posterity and personal consideration when getting yourselves read for anything new when you, like, do things again anyway too!. Maybe too, for yourselves, perhaps a log can assist, literally with keeping to note the condition for our equipment at all and like times etc too?
