Kyrgyzstan Review: Pearl of the Heavenly Mountains
Kyrgyzstan, often referred to as the “Pearl of the Heavenly Mountains,” is that surprising spot smack in the middle of Central Asia which provides folks like you with something pretty special. It is this land which holds a certain charm. Picture vast steppes which kind of roll out seemingly forever, sky-high peaks dusted with the stuff that stays cold. Plus, a nomadic culture still going pretty strong. This country has got this special way of pulling people, offering them all kinds of different memories which they will hold near for a long time.
Untouched Beauty: Majestic Landscapes
Let’s begin talking about the scenery because, honestly, that’s something else entirely. Almost 94% of the terrain is over 1,000 meters above sea level, giving it this majestic, raw character. So, yeah, hiking and trekking opportunities? Totally unreal.
Issyk-Kul Lake, is that one body of water locals like your friends and I would gawk over the beauty of. What’s neat is that it is something like the second biggest alpine lake on this planet, and you know what that means. The lake is also known for its unique trait which means it’s just that, ever so slightly salty! What this essentially boils down to is that this doesn’t ice over even when temperatures take a serious plunge. Picture yourself chilling there on its shoreline, with these snow-capped mountains way out in the distance. Now, that’s what I call “taking some time for yourself,” right?
For anyone who feels pulled in by rugged mountain trails, then maybe give Ala-Archa National Park a look, as that location is sitting just a bit outside Bishkek, but it feels worlds different. The peaks have points and that means these would give folks something really outstanding when captured in shots, like, especially sunrise/sunset pics! Plus there are hikes ranging from being able to do with zero training that you would bring literally everyone you’ve ever met with you, to seriously intense. They go high so much so that some people have actually spent upwards of three months figuring how they can conquer such beastly terrain.
Son-Kul Lake is this hidden spot which you just kind of learn about through old guys telling tall tales, or just reading about them in old musty libraries, whatever your poison, its awesome! If you love landscapes, this would definitely deliver something mind blowing when taking up those panoramic pictures of wide valleys. The landscape feels huge since your brain actually might trick you in that there seems to be this seamless merging with the horizon which sort of is this cool blue thing off way far somewhere.
A Culture to Feel Good About: Nomadic Traditions
Culture! Did someone ask me about culture just now? These stories I tell about this land should not only focus on things that you are seeing but everything it offers in terms of history and customs. As some who’s visited there before I tell all who seek it with a sort of warmth. Kyrgyz lifestyle? Think strong roots within nomadic customs. That implies when seeing them they might be chilling by this animal and or just have pitched one of those yurts we are accustomed to hearing about as well.
A seriously special way this appears in a way to folks interested is during something akin to folk gatherings like that type that occurs when you bring something cool that’s homemade or just that you made something from nothing in which you might just hang around one spot telling everyone about what you do. The locals will bust out something known as the Manas epic. Manas is a great story that they recite by using singing that echoes like the wind that never ceases it’s path up and over valleys or steep sides on canyons for, just imagine, multiple days straight without giving themselves break one to speak about. People go there often just hoping that those folk tale people do it again.
Another popular one? Horse games. Now, these show so many times over how good somebody would be if their life just entailed being on these strong beasts. You know, kinda like, picking your favorite mount in any RPG out there in the ether right now and finally having that type of character you dreamt of come true and finally get to know them in real life after countless hours or maybe, days upon days! If one were a traveller, for sure one should schedule themselves a day for trying it at least once! Why? It just kind of comes full circle doesn’t it?
I suppose for anything it helps learning a lil’ bit of the tongue! Like maybe throwing “рахмат” [rakhmat] to some who has served up one serious hearty something on one’s plate that can never run empty or when leaving and departing for someplace, as something customary. In places like these a small gesture can certainly create so many things, too!
Activities for Any Taste: From Horse Riding to Eagle Hunting
Thinking regarding having time there for stuff which makes any normal person giddy? Oh yeah I certainly recall it, haha! I did what would only come natural and tried it.
You might picture someone hopping aboard horses through a land like Suusamyr Valley which sprawls, sprawls, and it just continues spreading! Imagine seeing greenery go absolutely forever while the hooves from below create these sort of rythmical sounds from that sound echoing into places far far off. Oh did you want me to talk of birds also, that sound amazing in concert? Imagine hearing them from way up somewhere!
Now here’s one thing most people don’t often even talk about too! Falconry!!! It seems a part from ancient times even. It requires one understanding how one could go ahead and bond completely while knowing how one feels at every slight push in motion! This could possibly feel somewhat emotional honestly since getting up there would certainly have people be doing multiple of everything. It feels a little like maybe finally starting that game people had in the back somewhere and saying alright this thing might very much blow expectations! Well, let me say after, oh it did! And in a good way!
For any peeps wishing a relaxed trip in something a lil bit more chill should absolutely consider going on hikes on any given part for anything which seems awesome visually, they shouldn’t wait another moment from leaving from their places just so to touch every mountain, rock and terrain with whatever level is needed!
A Bite of Culture: Kyrgyz Cuisine
OK, lets talk cuisine for some part okay? I’m going there regardless so haha… I mean like most know or have seen it probably involves mutton, that much should come as expected after speaking all those horses running or falconry stuff from previously.
There’s a pretty big and huge thing known as beshbarmak! Essentially translated means “five fingers”. Seems that tradition might indicate how they might only make use of what’s readily on hand rather that wasting what can be consumed if necessary. This would actually be done typically with horse or lamb since that makes most logistical stuff with feeding anyone in some party as quick and simple which makes for those in high spots who have less people complain on things like time constraint. I find food culture awesome to this degree for just even the small reasons.
Oh I see some peeps getting antsy, well how can some like yourselves maybe who enjoy getting what might come from some store or vendor have it easy? Well here me out cause this is gonna shock probably! They are often out there near the locations mentioned from above!!! No kidding me for certain found it somewhat surreal, one I can actually attest! And as I always say I wouldn’t have it some other route or path if some weird stuff might go out there! I was only joking I didn’t actually mean that, there is stuff for safety so… dont let get anyone in that part freak you!!! Be reasonable I mean haha!!!
Well for all I should mention there is also kurdak which might also give different tastes on some mutton should someone actually feel they’d get picky. Though I honestly can’t believe in some small respect, it would. Everyone knows cooking with fire often taste extremely great when someone has tried all sort for those to show. As one whom likes getting into all kinds with whatever seems visually pleasing but maybe something new on this mortal shell in this planet. That is a total blast even from maybe other spots and locations, that is often on someone like me’s head all the time I promise.
Planning Your Getaway: Helpful Tips and Advice
So, think about taking some serious time for actually doing travel to this land alright? What might those individuals benefit when hoping for doing so without having any real plan besides hearing everything as if they had this amazing thing as being real right at the start with me haha. Let someone in this little part speak for just the slightest ok?
Best visit duration, would probably circle within what something should really be considered awesome? Oh, two weeks can deliver quite a bit of this planet at a speed of whatever level! Since, after this period people may go away just to see their jobs in full gear somewhere or get back home!
Now what sort do travelers might need something like should go travel in parts that are mostly with some land and mountain? Think for a moment, oh some things with proper insulation of various kinds! Especially going near where that giant blue glass liquid place may lie so those winds there can bring such low temp at such altitudes and that can harm even toughest peeps or even strong willed horses or creatures from up above!!! This, I implore strongly!! No should I feel like not telling people just in sake of some visual, please take notes for yourself that I take anyone whom reads things I write, as important. Now don’t feel bad just because this silly guy said to do anything because it’s your own way to feel! If that thing makes that awesome person over on that thing, great for it! The awesome feeling would also rub off. Alright! What the point, make this time great!! You can’t exactly take it when its not existing!!! Or something anyway!
Some cash always helps, no is kidding folks here… though cards have seen their value improve it’s often great to take just an amount for most things especially outside Bishkek for some fun little locations that the world might seem so close that people might not think about doing or getting cash which some actually use often. I love the idea so people can show off all sorts! Though it’s honestly true though, be respectful on whoever is asking though!
