Before we even sniffed the river, everyone got some safety briefing. And they, too, weren’t phoning it in! These people appeared as if they knew their stuff. He also appeared like, really attentive, pointing out some unique spots, that might interest others too. He made sure everyone, basically, felt comfortable. Top notch stuff, as I remember it.

Check the water levels beforehand. Like I was saying, it does affect the whole ride. Plus, slather on the sunscreen and maybe bring an old pair of shoes, or something. Those will, no doubt, get soaked!
