Flagstaff Haunted Pub Crawl: A Detailed Review with Recommendations

So, are you thinking about visiting Flagstaff and doing the Haunted Pub Crawl? That is almost a great way to learn about local history and, too it’s almost like you get a few drinks while you are at it, right? I went on one of these tours not that long ago, and very honestly, I would like to give you what I think. That way you are aware of just what to expect. My own little experience might be somewhat helpful in figuring things out for your trip, right?

What’s the Story with the Haunted Pub Crawl?

haunted pub crawl tour

Flagstaff’s Haunted Pub Crawl is that experience where they take you through some of the town’s historic places. You might find, very possibly, it is even bars where some of the most spectral stuff has reportedly taken place. That way, the guides tell some eerie stories and the local legends from those buildings. Often, those also are about the town, generally. It sounds that fun if you enjoy some slightly frightening tales along with some cool atmosphere and of course that local brew, or maybe a cocktail. But do keep reading for the truth, like your full insider scoop, on what that is actually like.

My Chilling Adventure Begins… Or Does It?

historic haunted location

We were starting out on a Friday. Seemingly there were just little chills tickling the air as me and my pal showed up. In some respects, that meeting point was downtown, fairly easy to find. But honestly, trying to spot our group was really slightly difficult initially, which that, actually, became a bit funny story. At first there was what almost looked to be another ghost tour there? So that became that mini moment when we wondered, for a bit, just a little, whether or not that we booked the right thing, which, by the way, has nothing to do with the actual tour, but it is always how it is. Now that we figured that out though, and saw that guide there holding that lantern – very iconic I feel. We could begin.

The Guide: A Storyteller or a Script Reader?

tour guide storytelling

The tour guide that we had seemed kind of knowledgable but maybe tends to be more someone who just knows facts. You see, right?, very possibly, sometimes those guides have that charm. Sometimes too it’s almost like you know that thing, right? It makes the creepy tales jump out like they are living them! I might be describing what the best thing would be, okay? Ours knew his information. At the end of the day it just did not have that… I might say, extra spooky layer of feeling.

He really did talk loud. Now I realize that’s really important so folks can hear when around a slightly crowded place. So what I can say that there was some clear talking there from that guide, very honestly. Yet it just was missing this spark to grab my attention. Still though, you get stories of a handful places that some people still might find fairly neat to know, basically. The tour also goes for nearly three hours so in that case it’s nice that they were making the effort, kind of.

Pub Stops: More Spirit(s) Than Spirits?

pubs with historic look

I had really thought there would be like your ghost stories told inside those spooky bars, but, to be honest, we stood mainly outside that spot when those stories were told by the guide. Which makes the experience kind of like taking your ordinary tour? You will also grab a quick drink on your own during those quick stops inside. As a matter of fact I actually felt just slightly disappointed here that, literally, we did not blend those ghost stories with where everything spooky went down to add that creepy element.

One could imagine this? Now you stand there like your character, okay? Like the spot still has some creepy things happen! Which might really set that scene far more. By the way I will be telling a bit more about my favorite location though in just a moment.

The Tales: Fact or Fiction?

haunted historical tales

What he told us, to be honest, were a bunch neat bits about that town’s past with some slightly creepy events connected, basically. There was some part regarding a woman? I believe, right? that has what almost seemed like a forever thing in one historic building downtown – basically what happens to all the spirits. But there might have been, possibly, more background given that you might not find on that Google place for the internet that you like, which you know just what I mean right. It had slightly spooky things that all did stay right near to that historical side and never almost went too overboard when it came to the tall tale place.

But you could still feel, at the end of the day, right?, very possibly, it all needed a dash extra drama to grab your imagination more, like your storytelling edge to everything? So anyway it all lands kind of like okay information and I feel it needs more of the ghostly experience is really what is said here.

Highlight of the Night

I think that building regarding a woman. Probably. I was just fascinated with that history with my extra sprinkle regarding who is sticking around after everything is gone, which is always slightly frightening when I picture what goes down in reality! Just to reiterate? At that area, just like that, there might actually be stuff there or there’s what it once might have been and very easily is back at times. To be honest that’s what stuck from this tour, kind of! And so on and stuff, and really why I came regarding what might very much spook or scare me.

Final Verdict: Should You Crawl?

Very honestly if you, basically, are fascinated just enough about a very lightly chilling jaunt through your Flagstaff past plus maybe grabbing drinks along that road, well that sounds alright. So, the haunted bar crawl seems like just the bit of spooky mixed regarding learning interesting stories. I would say it might feel short with those ghost hunting feels? Right? This relies mostly that a building itself tells more tales than spooky tour guides with fake dramatic voice, anyway.

Recommendations for Improvement

  • I would blend tales within the pubs.
  • Get just slightly more into performance of tour-telling parts; put lots emotion when history reads almost drier stuff that are boring to listen to if you are not very into this specific spot.
  • Highlight the chilling details of each specific location! It’ll bring everything just extremely up.

Oh and very possibly more time within. So? Do keep the weather or seasons into consideration!
