I mean, that’s just a start. However, the real magic kicks off in the afternoon as you begin approaching the Sahara. The land, seemingly, changes, more or less, starts to get drier, rockier. Then, that vastness begins to unfold before you. When you get to Merzouga, typically, there will be a camel waiting to, literally, take you to your camp. Riding off into that sunset? The most amazing experience you’ll probably have, just, a little. Honestly.

Desert Camp Experience: Glamping Under the Stars

Right, so, like, spending a night in a desert camp, well, it’s just so unique. We were saying it is just a big highlight for anyone hitting the Sahara. And it has this feeling that it doesn’t, literally, matter if it’s a totally luxury setup or just, maybe, a more simple Berber tent. Those clear desert nights? Probably the best you’re ever going to see! Like seriously incredible, so many stars! It may seem a bit surreal to gaze upon, that night, after an authentic dinner, to some super cool local tunes around the campfire. In other words, enjoy all that, is that alright? You want, definitely, soak it up and take some pretty awesome pictures while you can! Also, just as a tip, the desert, pretty much, gets pretty cold at night, really fast! Make sure that you have brought warm clothes.

Day 2: Sunrise, Sandboarding, and the Road to Ouarzazate

As a matter of fact, so you will have to get up very early, which it’s not easy, it might be worth it. Actually, so it is almost impossible, but believe me, that sunrise over those dunes? Worth the effort, okay! Then, too, it’s kinda magical. Some tours, also, have, too it’s possible, some sandboarding available! Give that a whirl if it’s, I mean, the kind of your thing; this activity is, actually, so much fun, trust me on that one. The route begins, similarly to yesterday, on those long roads. So, the destination? Quarzazate! This is that door of Sahara, a very famous city due it’s buildings. Like a traditional kasbah. The desert ends, the life, as matter of fact, remains. The Ait Benhaddou Kasbah: A UNESCO Treasure

Now, seriously, you are heading toward Marrakesh. You definitely should be stoping by at Ait Benhaddou. What an awesome Kasbah! Okay? Too it’s almost like going back in time. Basically, these kind of mud-brick buildings. It’s been the stage for heaps of films. Gladiator? Game of Thrones? So many! Very really, it’s interesting exploring those narrow alleys and taking photos; there is, like, this whole other planet thing there. So very try haggling with the local vendors; probably, there will be one or two selling crafts! As a matter of fact, that can be a super fun experience.

Tizi n’Tichka Pass: Driving the High Atlas

As a matter of fact, after Ait Benhaddou, the ride over the Tizi n’Tichka Pass can get kinda hairy, in a fun way, like, that road snaking through the High Atlas Mountains? Seriously? Super impressive, even with so many hairpin turns. Take those seriously seriously amazing scenic shots; it seems like the vistas of those valleys are something else. And be prepared for, very very, some slower moving traffic and a very windy ride; seriously, you need take that medicine if it gets too bumpy!

So, okay, arriving in Marrakech after those crazy, two days, like, pretty much, non-stop. Well it’s this almost unreal experience. Basically it feels, that, you’ve been on an adventure! Okay, so is, like, this tour right for absolutely everyone? Probably no, right. Firstly, remember, there is lots and lots of driving, like you really need like long stretches on those roads. It’s also pretty fast. You could say a ‘highlights reel’ from that part of Morocco, rather than just some seriously chill, in-depth exploration. Basically, if you easily feel seasick or cannot spend so many hours in one care. Basically don’t. Actually, there’s too that question from a budget thing; It does take a large slice of your savings.
