First Impressions: Meeting Up and Getting Started

Okay, let’s talk about where the whole thing kicks off. Getting to the meet-up spot is, actually, really simple. That location is usually smack-dab in a pretty central bit of Dublin. We actually got to that meeting point early, and waited patiently. We weren’t sure of how the guide would actually be. Is that actually okay? It turns out the guide showed up and seemed really friendly and seriously ready to get going. Anyway, that check-in process didn’t actually take too much time, and the guide was so cool at getting the whole group introduced and, also, amped to explore. Honestly, first impressions do actually count, and, in some respects, things really did look positive from the very start. You know, there’s some serious anticipation buzzing as the starting gun sounds.

Obviously, we’re talking about spots like Trinity College, the Dublin Castle, maybe some famous cathedrals, and loads of those other cool, history-soaked spots. Arguably, the order you see things and how much time you have at each spot might change from one tour to another. Obviously, during our adventure, the guide did such an amazing job to give everyone a snapshot of each area, sprinkling some history here and there that seriously made all the buildings feel very alive and exciting. Is that interesting? You know, not one sight just seemed like any plain, old tourist spot; things felt woven together.

The Guide: Storyteller and Local Expert

The tour guide may very well make or break your tour. You know, honestly. Luckily, just our guide knew all about the city. Very much so. They did an awesome job dropping awesome historic details, great stories, also funny stories that simply gave so much to see when we would walk by historical place, or pretty popular spots. They made things super interesting. Clearly, these guides are trained on more then telling of things. They all are very awesome to show that to folks that show them a tiny thing. They may share the knowledge with others as well, basically they want to share things. Well, to hear funny cool old things makes them all worth of it, which is fine in some respects.
