Exploring Amer Fort

Next on the list was Amer Fort, just outside Jaipur. I elected to take a Jeep up the hill rather than an elephant, for reasons you can imagine, and because it seemed faster. That means the Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors) is a real highlight; the way the light reflects in that room is quite special.

Of course, a trip to Jaipur wouldn’t be complete without some shopping. I visited a local market where they sell things like textiles, jewelry, and handicrafts. Yet, you have to bargain hard! The initial prices are often inflated. Now, I ended up buying a few small souvenirs. That is that you are not pushed to buy anything if you do not want to.

Was it Worth It? Weighing the Pros and Cons
