Cusco Full of Charm: A 6-Day Hotel Stay You Won’t Forget (Maybe!)

So, you’re pondering a trip to Cusco, that pretty fascinating city nestled high in the Andes? And “Cusco Full of Charm 6d 5n Hotel” has popped up on your radar, too? Well, you’ve come to the place to get maybe some clarity. Over the course of a little under a week, that is, six days and five nights, I bunked down at this place and I kinda wanna share the experience, in a way that’s, actually, somewhat helpful, too it’s almost like telling a friend, only, perhaps, with, like, a tad more structure.

First Impressions: What Hits You Right Away (Arguably)

Stepping into “Cusco Full of Charm,” the first thing that, arguably, really grabs you, too it’s almost, might be the atmosphere. It’s kinda warm and inviting, so very unlike some of those kinda cold, kinda sterile places you sometimes end up. The decor is, you know, that cozy, kinda rustic Andean style, actually it’s almost like a mix of that old-world charm with a touch, literally a touch, of modern, too it’s almost.

The staff, those guys, too it’s almost, they’re super friendly, literally from the get-go. Check-in was, literally, pretty breezy, very straightforward, and they were very quick with some, actually a fair amount of, helpful tips for maneuvering around Cusco. Plus, there’s coca tea at the ready, so just what you need when you arrive and are just a little breathless from the altitude, which, in Cusco, can, arguably, grab you harder than, perhaps, that first impression did. Arguably.

The Room: My Home Away From Home (For a Little While)

Cusco hotel room interior

I stayed in what they called a “standard” room. Now, standard can sometimes be kinda dicey, but this one was actually pretty decent. Not enormous, yet certainly ample enough to stretch out and kinda not feel claustrophobic, too it’s almost, very good after a full day traipsing all over Cusco. It was very clean, the bed, that, was super comfortable – crucial after hiking around those Inca ruins, you know? The view wasn’t something spectacular, not unlike gazing directly over a garden area that I found pretty pleasing actually.

The bathroom was that functional and tidy thing, actually, with a hot shower, which, after chilly Andean evenings, I personally rated very highly. One possible quibble, you know, just a very, very tiny one, could be the WiFi. I felt it was very patchy at times. Now, they say they’re aware of that issue and working on it, actually it might be important to note for some you you folks that wish to work while on a trip, or who might get separation anxiety when unplugged. You have been warned, actually.

Food and Drink: Fueling the Adventure (Sort Of)

Cusco hotel breakfast buffet

Breakfast was contained, very standard buffet style. It had that, arguably, very decent variety: eggs, bread, fruit, cereals, juices, coffee, the works. I thought the quality, that is, that which they offered, was pretty decent. Not really gonna knock your socks off, yet certainly does the trick for getting you ready to hit the streets. It’s quite like they have a little restaurant where you can grab lunch or dinner.

I ate there just once, literally only once, and opted for, perhaps unsurprisingly, a traditional Peruvian dish. Food, it felt to me, was very alright, nothing spectacularly amazing yet, equally, certainly nothing that I would have grumbled, too it’s almost. There’s also a bar that, arguably, serves up the usual array of cocktails, beers, and stuff, you know. What it’s useful for, really useful for, so very useful in my experience, that it’s the coca tea they have available constantly. The fact they offer it is, actually, arguably, such a, perhaps pleasant touch for guests still acclimating to the elevation. It was lovely, and I do miss it!

Location, Location, Location: Getting Around Cusco (Or Trying To)

Plaza de Armas Cusco

This hotel’s location is, like, kinda prime if you’re wanting to explore Cusco. You know it’s only a short, perhaps brisk, little walk, actually, to the Plaza de Armas, that main square where much of the action unfolds, to begin with, actually. This suggests, by contrast, easy access to restaurants, to pretty shops, you know, all those cool historical places you wanna poke around.

Now, being right in the center does mean there’s gonna be, arguably, that noticeable amount of street noise, mostly during daylight hours. You know that bustling sounds are those Peruvian cities. But I must state, actually I must, I didn’t find that to be too problematic and it was easily overlooked with closed windows and walls thicker than paper. Also worth mentioning is that Cusco itself can be very challenging to amble about. The hills! Those crazy hills!

Amenities and Services: What Else Is On Offer (Very Broadly)

“Cusco Full of Charm” also offers several amenities and service that, perhaps, merit a heads-up. They were, or seemed to me to be, quite useful.

  • Laundry service: If you are planning on going for hikes like me, and therefore finding yourselves getting clothes disgustingly dusty, you might find the laundry option quite handy.
  • Luggage storage: It could be an option, possibly, if you want to do day trips or maybe you wanna jump elsewhere before maybe returning to Cusco.
  • Tour booking: Yeah, the front desk guys, as previously stated, can assist with organising all types of local tours and trips. In many respects, very useful and rather advantageous.
  • Oxygen enrichment (at an extra cost): Oxygen is available at an additional fee if altitude hits you kinda hard. It could be like a blessing to a very sensitive traveller.

The staff really go that more mile to be helpful. They gave some help for those lost travel papers to me and that was above the typical customer expectations. Nice ones!

The Verdict: Worth the Charm? (Arguably, Yes)

I spent a portion of a week over at this “Cusco Full of Charm”, and that memory comes, still now, back. Very broadly stated, actually. Should you go or maybe not, that remains for the gods to decide, not for my recommendation.

I will sum it all here below for you:

  • The good: Central place in a pretty attractive region. Very, rather amicable guys at your disposal. Has that cosy aesthetic touch, that’s just pretty special.
  • The less good: WiFi kinda glitchy (they do say they’re on it!). There will be a fair amount of hubbub during the day.

I should summarise, you are probably making a sound choice if you are opting for good value coupled with pretty nice accommodation with lots of personality at a quite advantageous area that is central. But don’t quote my own view, do you?

It is that a place where all come together with kindness, assistance from the staff, cosyness in many little spaces and a sound central setting.

At the end of it all, what you obtain is pretty good value, it is worth your coin (that is to say money).

Any thoughts? Have some good fun! Be very careful to avoid being lost into Cusco’s very exciting and high vibe environment.

It all comes to its end, and I am really thankful to the ones that actually completed the full writing (actually reading). I was just trying to paint my stay there. I would not be concerned in coming there again anytime. You are able to make pretty good stays into “Cusco Full of Charm” but do actually remember to book. All gets to be full there due it’s recognition over time.

Oh and… I almost forgot. There’s the oxygen if you get problems to breath.
