CDMX Night Tour Review: Seeing Mexico City’s Lights

I had the pleasure to experience a night tour, and I kind of wanted to share how it all played out, particularly with the optional visit up the Torre Latino. Cruising Down Paseo de la Reforma

Next, we jumped back on our transport, cruising down Paseo de la Reforma. The Reforma, as I learned, is like the main drag in CDMX, and at night? Wow, it is that much cooler. Now, imagine this, monuments and buildings illuminated, fountains all lit up, just making the entire street gleam. So, our guide told us the story regarding each landmark we drove past, that made the view way more appealing. I liked how the Angel of Independence really stood out; seeing it shining against the night sky, is that an awesome sight.

We passed by all types of spots, from fancy hotels to crucial historical spots, that is what CDMX is all about, it is that cool combination of old and new. Anyway, something about cruising down Reforma made you really feel the energy of Mexico City at night. We took another pit stop so people could snap pictures and just soak in the scenery; honestly that felt a bit quick, still, it was absolutely worth it.

Torre Latino: High-Up View

Okay, that optional visit to Torre Latino? Totally a good call. So, the Torre Latinoamericana used to be the tallest building in Latin America back in its day, that is before all of these skyscrapers came up. What is cool is that you are able to shoot up to the observation deck at night and get a seriously unreal view of CDMX. The city stretches out under you; every one of the lights twinkles like a million little stars. You actually see how giant the city is, and you will find all these key places like the Zocalo and Reforma from a cool high-up point. That alone is a cool reason to add this part onto your tour. It may set you back more, yet getting to soak in all of those amazing scenes? Completely worth the cost.

At the end of the day, being up there just brings a feeling that is unique, it is the city down below is absolutely full of energy. We hung out up there a bit, taking it all in, that, before going back down for the following leg of the tour.

A Taste of Local Culture

Something that I appreciate regarding the tour, that is how it showed off authentic local culture. We stopped at a standard Mexican spot for some grub, that gave everyone a look into the city’s food scene. You know, rather than sticking with tourist traps, that stop allowed us to grub on real flavors and vibes.
