Approaching Bangkok Up Above, that is on the, I suppose, slightly less-crowded side of Sukhumvit, you’re sort of immediately greeted by an atmosphere, arguably promising something kind of stylish. Actually, the entrance area, yet, features kind of dim lighting, a bit, sleek décor, and staff that greet you very warmly. I mean, honestly, it sets a good tone for the evening. Okay, stepping into the elevator, that’s heading skyward, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of anticipation; after all, that’s what rooftop experiences should be all about, you know? And honestly, I was eager to see if the view and overall vibe would measure up.

The View: Is that Worth the Hype?

Okay, so the big question – what’s the view like? Right, once the elevator doors opened, I was, in a way, greeted with a vista of Bangkok’s skyline, very glittering prettily below. That is the perspective is genuinely breathtaking, really providing a really great panorama of the cityscape, alright? From up there, honestly, you could spot famous landmarks glimmering, almost in the distance and the Chao Phraya River snaking its way. Even though the location, seemingly, might not be quite as central as some other well-known rooftop spots, actually, that just slightly adds to the appeal because it gives you kind of a different, slightly less touristy feel.

Digging Into The Menu: Food and Drinks

I mean, the food and drink menus arguably present a variety, right, with an emphasis on dishes kind of ideal for sharing. I think so. The menu seemingly features items from local Thai inspired to globally inspired foods and a mix of internationally popular selections. Just a little bit, I think. Basically, I sampled a couple of the dishes, right, as well as some signature cocktails to get a proper sense of the offerings.

You know, for starters, I tried the Crispy Spring Rolls and very Grilled Satay. The Spring Rolls, yes, those were perfectly crispy and were filled with delicious stuff inside, and those peanut dipping sauce served alongside them? Totally delightful. To be fair, that’s just right.

I mean, honestly, the atmosphere at Bangkok Up Above is definitely what makes the place what it is, you know? I found that there was something about this place that made me just, like, actually very happy. Very! Like genuinely really, really chill, I guess? With the kind of lounge music seemingly adding a relaxed vibe. Anyway, the arrangement and set up seemed designed for social mingling, it may even just be right, allowing you just the right room for groups, couples and those going at it solo (like your reviewer here). Right, it seemingly attracts a fair mixture of tourists as well as local people which I very like.

And actually, if you’re keen on going, you should be really dressed smart casually – no flip flops, very please and thank you. By the way, that seemingly gives the spot that much more appeal that keeps a great measure of decorum and stylishness.

Service Quality: Do You Feel Valued?

I believe the waiting staff helped make my experience better because their charm and professional ways just enhanced everything, which is wonderful.

Pricing: Is It Good Value?

When we speak about value, alright?, Bangkok Up Above, it’s almost there in price parity that’s often tied into premium rooftop bars across Bangkok, really. So the signature cocktails often range at around 350-500 Baht, in any case? Dishes seem very priced in between around 400-900 Baht for each plate. I’d say? Sure!
