Baliulun Waterfalls, Handara Gate & Coffee Plantation Tour: A Personal Review

If you’re headed to Bali, there’s a good chance you’ve seen pictures of the famous Handara Gate or imagined trekking through the area’s breathtaking scenery. So, the Baliulun Waterfalls, Handara Gate, and Coffee Plantation tour seemed like just the ticket for me! I just recently got back and am excited to share some insights. What I thought of the trip and what you should know, too, before booking your own adventure, very much including a few things I definitely would have liked to have known beforehand!

First Stop: Baliulun Waterfalls—Nature’s Showstopper

Our first place to see, well, that ended up being the Baliulun Waterfalls, and to be honest, they really took my breath away. Is that what I thought it would be? As a matter of fact, they totally exceeded my expectations. So, after a pretty short walk, we actually got to see this incredible cascade of water. Apparently, the water thundered down, like, into a kind of inviting pool down below. Basically, I took tons of pictures, obviously, and I even went for a super quick swim even though the water was, to be honest, a bit cooler than I had imagined it.

One thing to know: the trek back up, alright, it’s maybe a bit tough, right? The steps, right, they were maybe kind of slippery in places, very slippery I think, and steep too. I’d seriously suggest you wear, like, good shoes. I saw someone wearing flip-flops, you know, which just looks kinda unsafe! So, the scenery is completely worth it, so too make sure you’re pretty well prepared. Very ready.

Next Up: Handara Gate—Picture Perfect or Overhyped?

After seeing the Baliulun Waterfalls, that Handara Gate became the next spot, that really hyped place that everyone posts all about on Instagram. Is it worth visiting, really? At the end of the day, I believe so, too, though perhaps you want to manage your hopes. What I would consider, to get *that* picture, basically, is that you almost definitely will need to queue. And at times there’s like loads of folk about waiting. So, what is something you can do? As I was saying, you might actually wanna head over, like, either early, very early in the morning, or, very often, you might find there are far less crowds just late in the day. The Gate is undeniably what most think. Which is rather beautiful in fairness, right? With the lush greenery of its location. In other words it just enhances that look you came to see.

Now, to be honest, there’s nothing particularly more to actually *do* here instead of take that Instagram image, and if you weren’t, say, too excited, you know, to take pictures, you really might not wanna make the drive specifically to come to this location. One little story: I bumped into someone that admitted the gate only looks very amazing because it looks just very awesome in pics, and he said so, too, basically, once you’ve waited for, well, like your turn, it could, quite likely, only really prove worth the moment, you know?

Coffee Plantation—Aromatic Adventure and Luwak Coffee

I would describe, now, the Coffee Plantation as rather an awesome addition to our adventure. This is one experience where one got up so close. Similarly to the coffee-making approach of making a local favourite which is what you might expect. We, in this instance, are the local expert to assist our tour guides through each part of the coffee process when our tour was going to be started. Basically starting off with plants so as you can find yourself through roasting and all to find brewing stages which is so very great! We had our coffee there, naturally, to feel its awesome aromatic scent to this day. Oh my word!

For your knowledge sake: You must get an additional cost if Luwak Coffee will going to be tried and what I did also took mine too. Its kinda taste will so worth for a treat for one’s self especially if one would admire the taste itself. My purchase also there includes many more kinds of Coffee and tea there. That were produced there and can now give me awesome time while being on my comfort.

Tour Logistics—What You Should Know

Alright, there were quite a few things in which to know when thinking about doing any day trips as that Baliulun, Handara Gate, so, too the Coffee place visit really. Its one to bring those cash money just if they don’t happen get charged there thru using their card as the payments do not happen frequently. Don’t be ever forgetting your shoes when climbing through a terrain as those foot protection from the environment is important too! Another one is always respect places visited. So there aren’t problems while you there!

And there you might feel a certain degree for traffic which there it will be longer travelling period particularly if in South area as your place and stay is one for it too so start off early. Try, also, going thru different tour options by finding one where there is inclusion into any private transfer specifically when a place will tend being farther away if to start this trip off in convenient timing is the primary reason to doing just that. What is very good news: Most those tours is very possible too to actually do any modifications there, it is that if your place really needs things which were really unique so don’t feel hesitant being in contact together prior to being the one booking!

Was the Tour Worth It? Final Thoughts

There, so, too I was pondering whether what actually made is very true, to make such travel worth it one day in that North of the lovely Bali, after reflecting after I just went to my experience of travels is a loud emphatic yes, absolutely. A scenery one should go into to the waterfalls. It had a picturesque point found right through any famous Handara Gate is worth really one’s price if that’s what this can happen thru there with coffee so will making and it all together creates experiences to the table where that is not to think but actually should exist too. It could use a time which is very longer than expected at places for tours which happen there while planning right for everything there to the travel is much smooth and enjoyable!
