Eating out in nature, soaking up Gabala’s vistas, and swapping stories with other rafters really sealed the deal.

Then it was time to pile back onto the bus for the ride back to Baku, really. Everyone was way more relaxed now, actually, worn out from the day’s fun. The setting sun painted this gorgeous canvas as we drove, right, with everyone either snoozing lightly or sharing snaps and giggling about the river antics. Getting dropped back at my hotel, so, feeling that mix of tired but totally buzzing, I thought about everything we’d packed into just one day.
