Asturias Coastal Wonders: Oviedo Full-Day Tour Review
Alright, so I wanted to take some time to chat about this absolutely awesome experience I had. Basically, it was this full-day tour that took me from Oviedo to the pretty mesmerizing coastline of Asturias, which is in northern Spain. This isn’t just any sort of tour; instead it offers a real peek into what makes this area totally unique. As I was saying, I’ll walk you through pretty much everything – the cool spots, the eats, and well, you get the idea!
Setting Off from Oviedo: A Morning to Remember
First off, the whole thing kicks off early in Oviedo, which is the capital. The city has, as a matter of fact, a feel that’s a bit older, you know? There are really old buildings kind of scattered about and smaller streets that look pretty neat. It’s almost like taking a little jump back in history! This particular tour started bright and somewhat early, that is to say right when everything felt more…awake? As I was saying, meeting the tour folks was actually fairly easy. Plus, the tour guide knew a whole lot, clearly – you could tell pretty fast they definitely knew their stuff about Asturias. I mean, so from the starting point, it looked as if our transportation had air conditioning which was really great because it promised like real comfort heading toward our adventure. Basically, the feeling heading out? Pure excitement, as a matter of fact! You kind of get pumped, is that it?
Coastal Villages and Hidden Gems
The fun then moves ahead to the little villages dotting the coast, alright? First we went over to Cudillero, and that’s a spot that really does pop out! The dwellings over there are painted a variety of brighter colors and all kinda squeeze together heading up a hill, as a matter of fact. It makes getting a picture super simple too. After we took off from Cudillero, as I was saying, we hit smaller spots you may have skipped touring by yourself. As an example, you might just have driven past Luarca real quick! What I will tell you, the guide can give you great information – I mean like stuff not many people know – adding more feeling when you view these spots. It’s similar to taking shortcuts right through a story!
Lunch with a View: Asturian Cuisine
Alright, food lovers get ready! Around lunchtime, we made our way over to a restaurant with views looking over the big ocean. Obviously this spot featured legit Asturian food, you know the type of dishes only around that neighborhood? Well, it’s delicious is what it really is. I gave myself a try at the local seafood; it’s extremely fresh coming off the boat only some hours before, actually! I, and everybody with, was rather very satisfied with lunch because, really, is that not a perk whenever travel blends local tastes paired well with beautiful horizon shots? Just let your tummy get its delight then gaze and smile, okay?
Exploring Picturesque Beaches and Cliffs
Seriously, I wanted to speak some more about what you see after chow time. The shore regions are fantastic, seriously. And while you’re driving, just you look out at the sights going right on past. The Playa del Silencio…it basically grabs attention by the name that they picked, however with a pretty awesome reason: super peaceful! The place features enormous cliffs right on top with really crisp sand, which really makes for fantastic memories. Anyone taking pics will absolutely gain amazing material with Asturias! Honestly, it is picture-taking paradise actually.
The Cultural Heart of Asturias
So there is even much more to it all other than the vistas themselves because some small-town cultural exposure occurs! One of the spots was this pretty memorable church; actually it really told a little about this area’s past that dated well before now, basically! Guides love sharing the legends of places that maybe folks locally tell; it’s almost similar to listening right directly back from the very voices that they recount stories for decades now, and then, centuries even! Every town and vista features a history and background story that turns normal touring towards a little bit extra!
Return to Oviedo: Reflecting on the Day
Whenever this day winds completely towards its end, that tour then heads towards the starting line from where everybody began, located within Oviedo. During the ride back there is a tendency you might just kind of feel satisfied. As I was saying, a full days travel ends just when everyone kind of can rest during coming home – it’s time for all people headed out so fast on journeys, it makes for a quite suitable thing for ending experiences so personally impacting. Okay then? Back at Oviedo – feelings of memories flood quickly.
