Agafay Desert Buggy & Dinner Show: An In-Depth Review
Thinking about taking a buggy trip into the Agafay Desert, with, like, a dinner show to cap it off? So, too it’s something that might really be up your street! After my own adventure, I just wanted to, you know, spill the beans on everything. You could, too, find the whole setup quite enchanting, or you might just want a super truthful heads-up. I really wanted to go through the grit and glory from start to end, just so you could actually decide whether it’s worth your while.
Setting off from Marrakech: Getting to the Desert
Usually, that first step involves someone fetching you from your hotel over in Marrakech. My pickup? It was right on time, very appreciated when you’re bouncing with excitement. Anyway, the ride itself to Agafay is very nearly an hour. It’s almost like peeling back the layers from all of the city buzz toward the desert. Very scenic, too, I might add. But just, a little word of caution – that, the roads can get quite bumpy. So it’s always good to settle in and maybe not have too much excitement before you even arrive.
Buggy Time: More or Less Thrills & Spills?
Now, the real kick: handling that buggy. In some respects, the fleet vehicles seemed quite up to snuff. I saw there were also some fresher than others but definitely alright. After just a quick tutorial, we just geared up. Then we were ready to rip across the sand-ish plains! It’s not all dunes like you’d imagine; anyway it is that it’s more, or less, a blend of rocky bits and arid ground. Even so, that doesn’t hold back that adrenaline, not a bit!
The course tends to be an hour-ish, quite fine to scratch that thrill itch without overdoing things. I reckon just a smidge more time could probably kick it up further, but you know, it keeps everyone quite comfortable I guess. Arguably the views were very neat. As a matter of fact, with vast expanses plus sky views, one simply feels nicely free.
Dinner and a Show: More Than Just a Meal?
Next up: chow time intertwined with showtime under starlight. Clearly, those setups ranged nicely – you had your traditional tented spaces all lit up by lanterns, lending something cozy and native, and I actually feel it really completed the trip! When it comes to that food, I felt you just couldn’t go in expecting, like, top-tier eating. Seemingly it’s decent, and a nod towards all things Moroccan. I really liked my tagine anyway.
Arguably now entertainment can really fluctuate very far depending on a venue; I happened to see fire dancers! Sometimes you get musicians bringing those vibes, so just find what gigs interest you basically. Seriously, after things wrapped there would always be a wind-down spell that could really draw out the trip. A matter of fact is that with everyone getting all jovial. Also everyone seems to relax once all is said and done; sometimes sharing tidbits about life stuff really.
What Could Be Better?
Actually, the whole deal isn’t flawless as such, I just wished it was more in some cases. Those buggies might want a closer, very looked-over review constantly! Seeing as, they take, clearly, a hard pounding, or stuff doesn’t feel completely mint that you need checked out.
There really should be something that can improve when, you know, tour size grows so wide. The roads feel less exclusive, as such; and what I felt most just a little was lacking local interaction opportunities. So if offered something like that then I think I could really connect back historically with those spots, right.
So, Is the Agafay Desert Buggy Trip Worth It?
Very worth it so as long you weigh all your wants and preferences and whether this is something for you I think it could potentially really add something. Very, I was looking at adventure which isn’t exactly ultra strenuous. All of that mixed so smoothly there in these environments.
And even the price can kind of balance. Is that by getting, seemingly, an overall cultural sampler with all aspects from ride excitement over eats underneath the black skies it seemed reasonably priced anyway.
