Kent Yotes Court Vineyard Tour Review: A Delightful Experience
Visiting vineyards, is that one of those things you just have to do when you find yourself in the rolling hills of Kent, a place sometimes called the “Garden of England?” So, with that in mind, and maybe a little sunshine urging us on, we ventured to Yotes Court Vineyard for a tour and tasting and it’s almost what I’d call an experience, even for someone like me who’s no expert.
First Impressions: Setting the Stage
Pulling up to Yotes Court, what I saw, or what seemed to jump out right away, anyway, was that this place isn’t massive. In a way it’s very unassuming from the outside, so it kind of feels like you’re about to discover a bit of a hidden secret. That building, it gives off this historic, has a bit of character, sort of vibe with the landscaping around it looking neat, really very inviting. The staff that greeted us, too, were quite warm and friendly, which tends to make a difference, don’t you find? It’s always good when the first people you encounter are smiling and seem happy to see you. As a matter of fact, the friendly greeting, is that one of the small details that really sets the stage for how you experience the rest of your visit?
The Vineyard Tour: A Walk Among the Vines
The tour, now that’s what took us right out into the vineyard itself, and even if you’re, like your average city person who doesn’t know much about grape growing, it’s pretty interesting. So, our guide, who really knew their stuff, chatted a little about the different grape varieties they grow there, what goes into taking care of them, very what the whole winemaking process tends to look like from start to finish. I mean, there were all kinds of rows upon rows of vines and everything around us looked very green and peaceful and that. Very relaxing, I suppose. I learned that the folks there at Yotes Court really are quite focused on doing things sustainably and that they take real good care of the environment, something that I definitely think is pretty cool. So, strolling through the vineyard in the open air, breathing that in, with the sun on your skin—it’s almost a very pleasant way to pass an afternoon, even if you didn’t get any wine at all, if you see what I mean.
The Wine Tasting: A Sip of Kent
Next up, very the part most of us had actually come for, anyway: the wine tasting. In a way, they had this selection of wines ready for us to sample, that showing the variety of what they produce right there at Yotes Court. So there was a crisp white wine, some light rosé, and one or two richer red wines and it’s almost something for most preferences. As I was saying, what made it especially good wasn’t just the wine itself, but the way the tasting was handled, alright? The guide really described each one in some detail, walking us through what to look for in terms of flavors and aromas, but without, like your average, making it feel too stuffy or pretentious. I actually tend to like that, since I don’t exactly have refined taste or any expertise. You know, you might discover there just might be a Kent wine you very, very like—it’s definitely worth finding out.
Ambiance and Atmosphere: More Than Just Wine
That something I picked up on during our visit, anyway, was that Yotes Court very offers, or tends to create, more than just a place to drink wine. That grounds are beautiful, so inviting a gentle walk around before or after your tour, I suppose. Very quiet and calm, giving you a chance just to unwind a bit. As a matter of fact, there are some beautiful spots around there for, like your average, having a picnic if you fancy it and, really, very just soaking in the scenery.
Value for Money: Is It Worth the Trip?
Speaking about costs, it felt like that tour and tasting, alright, was reasonably priced. It might be the type of thing you’d do for a special occasion or that as a treat, and is that something to consider, anyway? So what I would suggest is checking their website for that tour and tasting offers because it seems the prices just might depend on what deal they are doing or the number of folk there’ll be. By the way, when you add the setting, a good guide, really great wine and generally the fact you are in Kent it actually seems very solid value if you’re on holiday, very keen on doing that vineyard experience. The prices and other deals may depend on seasonal offers so, too check out their webpage.
Final Thoughts: A Memorable Day Out
In short, that Yotes Court Vineyard tour and tasting, really that was what I would have to describe as a pretty delightful experience. That staff, who seem to love what they do, I might be wrong but the tour actually did give you an, like your average, educational overview with there not actually being pressure at all to have to purchase anything that wasn’t a good price. That location in the countryside too, it offers more than just wine and also is a kind of tranquil, so somewhat calm experience which is a, well sort of great day out, that’s for certain. It may tend to appeal to those that actually appreciate learning how wines come about along with those that do seek calm surroundings.
