Think of it as a way to watch Rwanda wake up; the landscape gets noticeably more striking and, you know, more lush as you leave Kigali. That first peek of sunlight over the hills is very wonderful and beautiful, really, and makes you remember how green this country is. Keep that camera nearby!
Oh, a travel tip, by the way. Roads can be tricky, is that right? Getting to the Nyungwe can be kinda hard depending on weather, more often than not, especially the closer you get. The sounds of birdsong everywhere! Make sure you know where to find the visitor center because that will more often than not be the launching place for everything that you’ll want to do in the park. So there, you’ll usually register, hook up with a guide (you probably booked that, and that would’ve been a smart move), and, of course, make that bathroom visit. When it comes to bathroom breaks, it’s always, well, probably better sooner rather than later. This park has so much biological diversity that it seems pretty busy. I, myself, ran into quite a number of folks ready to go. Don’t forget the essentials: some repellent, that sunscreen that does not get the monkeys too interested, a very great hat, and maybe those stronger hiking shoes.

The Canopy Walk Experience
Okay, after the paperwork and that intro by the guides, they, you know, shuttle you on over to the start point of that famed canopy walk! So, by the way, the walk that goes to the bridge is a pretty thing itself. Plan on taking like, almost, maybe an hour going to it (maybe less if you rush it). I would suggest taking your time because it’s just so incredibly stunning that first real close-up on the jungle! A little damp and misty is how it gets there, too! Expect maybe just a little tough climbing, yet the trails usually are rather maintained. Also you might see monkeys hopping around!
But that thing up ahead, like you may already realize: that crazy walkway, so thin above the trees? When they built it up there, it felt wild; it really brought about that new form in eco-tourism in Rwanda. Anyway, the actual span stretches more than 160 meters, approximately 50-something in the air. Take it easy, so, the surface doesn’t shake, even though you will move! Seeing the woodland stretched out down and far away just makes that whole vista beyond awesome, I swear. Look close so that you spot a few special monkeys or some colored birds high up, basically! Take your pictures. Savor that crazy great experience. Just stay where the staff has opened it up because there may very well be safety measures. Spend as much as you want right there, or what is assigned, simply breathe the jungle!
Flora and Fauna Along the Way
Nyungwe is like this place with so many life types. So the park really seems teeming with diverse animals and plants that may impress pretty much anyone. That location is home to just some species of monkeys, maybe even the handsome Ruwenzori colobus along with the very secretive blue monkey! It is thought to have tons of species of colorful forest birds for avid twitchers too!

Is the 1-Day Trip Worth It?
Should it occur one feels those right long routes nearly across there aren’t for just all those people one quite is thinking the most down straight!
