Sulaymaniyah Museum & Family Mall Tour: A Detailed Review

So, you’re thinking of visiting Sulaymaniyah and, too, checking out the Sulaymaniyah Museum and Family Mall, right? As a matter of fact, it’s quite a popular combo for both locals and tourists and so on and so forth. As I was saying, I went there not that long ago, and I’m going to walk you through what you can probably expect and just a little helpful information, that, you know, might be helpful.

A Morning with History: Sulaymaniyah Museum

As a matter of fact, the Sulaymaniyah Museum is, seemingly, where this experience begins. Apparently, it’s one of the biggest museums in Iraqi Kurdistan, alright, so expect to devote at least a couple of hours here. Typically, you see artifacts that go way, way back, so that will be cool for you. Instead, expect ancient pottery, and old coins, and sculptures, really old things people made. I mean, basically, history lives in this building.

Now, the displays are labeled in Kurdish, Arabic, and English which, actually, is helpful, so basically most people visiting can enjoy what they’re seeing and read about it. Actually, I’d suggest grabbing a tour guide which, in my experience, adds a bunch to your visit and stuff. To be honest, they usually know little stories and all the hidden meanings behind stuff that isn’t in the descriptions which, naturally, makes the visit way more fun and informative. I mean, just walking around and looking is alright, obviously, but seriously learning about stuff adds way more to the experience and stuff.

Also, take your time as you stroll through each section and stuff. To be honest, there is a lot of incredible stuff to actually take in, and the museum just sometimes throws events, right, and educational programs for the people who visit and stuff like that. So, it can also be educational, if you go on the right day!

Lunch and Leisure: Heading to Family Mall

Alright, so after soaking up all that history, it’s, like, usually time to switch gears and head over to Family Mall, right? Clearly, it’s only a pretty quick ride away from the museum, and I’d say it’s just a different, though arguably enjoyable experience.

This mall is, just like, a gigantic place which, typically, has stores, restaurants, and all kinds of entertainment, just for the families to enjoy! Seemingly, it’s got pretty much everything you might want, alright, from global fashion chains to the local stuff you may enjoy more as I was saying.

Lunch at Family Mall might be, honestly, pretty fun and has got like tons of options for pretty much any kind of person and their different tastebuds! Alright, so you’ve got like fast food which, actually, includes popular brands, and just nice places where people who visit can eat, and enjoy other choices and dishes, and eat and take breaks too, when on their shopping trip as well.

Family Fun: Activities at the Mall

Alright, Family Mall clearly earns its name since there is a bit for everyone and their needs and taste and style. Seemingly, if you are traveling with kids, there is some stuff that will keep them entertained for so, so long, if I can honestly be honest.

For instance, there’s the Magic Land and stuff, as well as, some cool playgrounds, so this can be a chance for you, to just sit down and get a much needed, a little bit of peace of mind for a moment or two. Also, the mall has a movie theater which, I believe, is showing different stuff to catch up on with some nice movies which, actually, is great and can also bring the family together too!

Just for anyone that actually likes shopping, the mall will actually be heaven and stuff! Typically, there are all kinds of different cool stores where the locals actually go and that, actually, show you a little piece of their fashion in Kurdistan. Clearly, if I would advise, and, just between you and me, this would be the perfect place to just pick up a gift, a remembrance, or some item, you might not be able to get at home. Actually, sometimes I found a couple of them, in places like the local bazaars too!

Tips for your tour and visit

Clearly, plan in advance if I had to give you my tips! The museum, of course, might have different times depending on what is going on. Seriously, checking the opening and closing hours is vital to not wasting your travel, when going there in a whim.

Then, of course, when you travel, get money, so that, as I was saying, you won’t have problems and stuff. Even if some places in the mall may take different payments such as debit or credit, it might be vital to still keep and have cash to prevent problems. Plus, there actually might be a small local stand or something you might want, you never know!

Be nice to other people too! Kurdistan is a location that just has friendly folks, and just shows real, positive attitudes as well, even if some can be aggressive, you actually never know when you get what you ask for and more if you just treat the people with respect. Plus, be open, have respect towards all different types of cultures you see. Sulaymaniyah actually showcases how historical it actually can be with different traditions, so learn new things!

Is the Sulaymaniyah Museum and Family Mall Tour Worth It?

Clearly, wrapping this up and trying to summarize all of what happened, this trip really has both! Sulaymaniyah is, to be honest, a must because this lets a person see just real old historical items. Clearly, this history connects more with the culture that the people of Kurdistan stand by as of now. The mall part, too, gives you all different kinds of just fun activities and stores which, in some aspects, make all of your different family, just so, so happy! I really like it because it showed me two very cool spots with so, so many great sides to it.

When people decide to take their trip, and visit here, I clearly want to state the need to just respect and be real understanding of everything around them, so it makes things enjoyable. You just learn so much and see, for real, the real Sulaymaniyah and why it has just so, so many options and so many places!
