The hike to the Materuni Waterfall is that part where you stretch your legs. Very quickly you will understand why everyone talks about this tour. That walk passes right through what is almost a tropical paradise. Is that lush greenery? So, very towering trees make you feel incredibly small and you will be going over little bridges. It’s a bit uneven underfoot, sure, so very keep that in mind. Also, is that that the payoff at the end with the waterfall, though, just a little makes it worthwhile. And, frankly, you can usually hear the water rushing very clearly as you close in – and that somehow builds the suspense.

Standing at the base of Materuni Waterfall? Alright, it is hard to describe the sensation. Are you feeling the mist on your face, too? You probably are as the water drops are spraying from above – honestly, it’s pretty intense, that. Also, so, very the water that pools at the bottom is extremely inviting for a cool dip, basically. That, just a little, note that the water will most likely be cold. I want to say like bracing, in fact. Basically, take that into account before you jump right in, or very decide to do the Instagram dip for the camera.

Get ready for something incredibly soothing – that trip to Kikuletwa Hot Springs, alright, also called Chemka Hot Springs, to be precise. You’ll move to that totally different landscape as we go to a rather unexpected oasis surrounded by extremely dry land, too it’s almost like an island, alright. Are you hoping for scalding hot water like you’d think “hot springs” would mean? Anyway, it won’t be the case, by the way. What you’ll find is the warm, naturally-fed pool that is so lovely to chill in, for example. And also to unwind in after that hike. If you’re very lucky you will probably see a few curious fish that could, arguably, be nibbling at your toes, as a matter of fact!

Relaxing in Kikuletwa’s Waters

That vibe here is like peak relaxation, almost. Anyway, there’s always something interesting as I was saying and there are locals around ready to show off their dive-bombing skills, so too it’s almost that you could enjoy that a bit! Remember that this place has been known for something for a very long time, honestly. As it pertains to sitting just beneath those towering trees? Honestly, that sounds delightful, like your problems go away in a short while.
