For great weather? Anytime, maybe, between October and April on Easter Island is when it’s a little dryer and warm, okay? Though Easter Island really has an appeal at whatever period of the year. The shoulder months—so that is, in effect, September and May—can be good, okay? Not too many visitors then. Just, keep in mind that the island is known for changeable weather patterns and I mean, come on, plan, pack in case it does go rainy on you for part of your trip, I feel. Keep it that way is always something I suggest to friends, you see.

Take a wide-angle lens is very much the guidance that I would tend to recommend so that you can very, very easily take in that caldera or catch everything from all those houses there, in some respects.
