Starting at Praia Brava gives you stunning coastal views for sure, but also includes a steep incline to get started. That section is more physically challenging (around 2.5 hours). Very definitely, wearing some proper hiking boots is going to make your life far better no matter what trailhead you pick, and taking loads of water is the sensible thing to do, truly!
